there should be an inertia switch on the vehicle mate, but off hand i can't remember where m8, i think under the bonnet. sorry for being a bit vague but hope it helps

The inertia switch is being replaced by a function in the airbag ecu. Since an airbag deployed the airbag ecu prevents the fuel pump from running. Read the codes from engine and airbag to see if this is the case.

Yep mate you right. Just pull your battery terminal out and put it back again, so to be able starting your car

hi, the car doesnt start after the terminal removed, iv tried resetting the dtc's but still no luck
wat iv noticed is the information display says economic mode, and a very strange thing that the battery light on the speedometer flashes constantly, any pointers 2 get the car started plz

1) What were the codes (expecting two at least lol)?
2) Eco mode, shuts the car down, saves battery power, just to piss you off
when you are listening to 'Fab FM' on the radio
Battery light is flashing, like it's lauging at you, just to piss you off
more.
3) Does it the engine turn over?
4)
Give it a push start, you know clutch down, second gear, your "mates" pushing it from behind like Sly Stalone in the film Lockup lol
In other words PUSH OFF LOL

there are new protocols to resetting these inertia switches
like a soft reppot type setup i do not know the proceedure but someone with peugeot web (net) might be able to get it?
and may be able to be reactivated with pp2000?
must be someone who knows proceedure ?
is it got a handbook?
might be in there?

not tryed pushin it yet, only error codes are the airbag deployed ones, passenger curtain and seat.
the car does turn over, but no start, it was running fine until they switched it off now its non starter, the battery light flashing mite be a clue?
anyone knw how to reset the virtual inertia??
thanx

Is it feasable (nice word) the fuel line diesel? has got damaged and sucking in air?
Try unplugging the airbag module, just to see what happens.

its a petrol, will try unplugging the module, under center console?
Meat-Head

thought that counts, yes try centre console.
If you push off/tow off and see what happens, and/or cause a fault, unplug an errector. then see if it says errector + crash signal
Assuming you can read/write have a look in the vechile handbook, and ring the stealer, plead ingrance, as 'can't get the car to your mr stealer as it won't start':roflmao:
Also check bsi for fault codes

Hi
When it says Eco Mode there are chances of losing the key memory so its also worth checking live data in BSI if the ECU is not in lock Mode and see if there are any key programmed.
Hope This Helps

Hello mate
If the vehicle is crashed on the ABS block side be sure that the big connector is not damaged and also check the ABS block if is in good health or not. In case you have some doubts by-pass the can wires and you will be able to start it. If the car is petrol one, check the pump on the tank, it happens that the pump broke down and you have no petrol flowing. If the car has had a big crash check the earthing cable on the gearbox.
Greetings mate

i checked car yesterday and noticed a loose plug front pasenger side wer it was hit, later 2 realise its 4 a relay, when ignition is turned on there is a live connection there for a split second, told customer 2 get a relay for it, see wat happens

Sorry friend, but because this car does not start, missing the gasoline (engine) or lacks the command to the various actuators: coil, injectors. If missing 12V to fuel pump may be a reasoning (fuses, cables, PSF1 ...) is missing the actuators must be followed other way.

read fault codes from engine ecu and airbag ecu, if airbag unit has crash data stored id get rid of that first m8, just to rule it out if nothing else. Dont worry too much about eco mode as soon as engine is running that will clear itself m8.:top:

when crash data is stored it activates the software inertia switch.
you will have to virginise the airbag module or replace it in order to start.
If you look in the engine ecu fault code it says im*obilised by airbag module.

iv done a scan with my machine and there is no code logged in ecu
i tried usin pp2000 and the f*cker gave up on me, some .DLL protection fault, (i was using it in virtual machine)

That would suggest the ecu, or a mechanical fault ecu can't 'see'
So if you crank and crank and crank untill the cows come home or starter burst into flames, does it then log a fault? (Top tip from M-H-M)
Next step would be to manually investigate the fault, no spark, or no fuel?

the idiots in the garage the car was parked at disconnected the battery for some reason, and while they did that they yanked a earth wire
2 bad they figured it out, if it was me i wudv given em a big bill lol
