Hi!
Car is W203 facelift and I think someone have canged mileage by not so good results. Preglow light wont work, check engine light and that "EZS? red circle" wont work also.

I have read kilometres by Star and it says 117 000km like I see in dash. But dash is not "connected with EZS". EZS kilometres in Star are 999999 ?. Dash gives also ROM READ ERROR fault. In Dash assyst memory shows only 5 last service so it shows 58100, 58100, 58100, 78200, 101000. Can I find more Assyst services or somewhere else to know real kilometres?

I have opened dash and measured by meter those faulty lights leds and they are ok. Also checked by Star that preglow and check engine light are in use. Output test also done. Is there posibility to repair cluster and connect it with EZS? I have not seen can filter there.

Thank you for answer.

I Have not even idea what chip is in there? It is diesel cluster. Do I need take cluster and EZS open to see that? What are differences?

From 2001 to 2002.5 cluster is a 93c86 + EZS 1j35d/ 4j74y

From 2002.5 to 2006 cluster is a 24c16 + EZS 912 / 9s12

Sorry, but what are these: dpf? eu4?
These are new things to me..

Hi, I think that someone first put large km on dash (example 999000) and put back dash in the car. EZS take new km from dash (999000). After that remove dash again but this time do km adjust + flash cluster. Now you dont have connection between dash and EZS and dash show new km.

best regards
Vladimir

Thank you Vladimir for answer. That is one thing what I want to hear. So there is now maximum km in EZS -> 999998? Could that sync connection problem + rom read error make my cluster warning lights defect? What I need to do for make dash and EZS sync again? Is that tricky job?

If I now buy new USED cluster will it shows it lasts kilometres or "------"?

Yes You can by used cluster and recode them by Star diagnostic tool. Of course you must first adjust km in EZS and in new cluster.

Best regards
Vladimir

Dash can be programmed without copy km from ezs.

Hah, ok. Now I understand. I do not have partikel filter. I have last made C30 amg. Facelift like I told at first post.

Are u sure this is not just a matter of enabling the lights in the IC under DAS?

Hi all . I have changed the mileage on a w203 2005 year cluster using tachosoft and i would like to know where i have to edit in the cluster dump to stop the communication with the ezs. There is a solution for w211 but here it does not work. Thanks in advance

I don't undertand why cheat people by do this? If you wanna cheat with mileage DO IT CORRECTLY and keep EZS communication on! Because when next owner goes to workshop they see communication problem and then maybe try fix it. They can try to change EZS, cluster and so on and that could be very expensive.

Hi. You don't understand. The car owner wants to have the mileage correction only in the cluster . A friend of mine did this with the digiprog 3 tool, but i don't have such a tool so that i will try to do this with tachosoft but something is missing because when i put the cluster back it shows the original mileage. The car is w203 2005 year model with 24c16 eprom and new cluster. For example if you have a w211 cluster after you modify the mileage you have to edit the dump and put 0808 on line 5E5F . It works 100% but for w203 not. There is a solution if someone reads the 24c16 first, adjust the mileage with digiprog or enigma tool using obd connectin and then reading the 24c16 again and compare the 2 eprom dumps. If someone can do this i will be very happy. Thanks in advance

Mate, I have read the dash EEPROM with AVDI Commander after odometer correction, but the only difference in the EEPROM is the odo bytes. There are no 0808 bytes... In fact I have done this for W211 as well - again there are no bytes 0808. When the synchronizarion with the EZS is blocked this is done in the Flash, not in the EEPROM.

Buy Dp3 and do all cars for peanuts. This is a good method to ruin your job.

I see that i find no help here. I will put the cluster back in and finish this job. He doesn't want to pay for the ezs mileage correction. Should i do this for free? NO WAY.
