You must buy another programmer like elnec,or any flash memory programmer !

Yes I know must buy another programmer, this is why I make question. What???? I only want it to this purpose 29f200 and 29f400 other types seems can be done with the other programmers I have.
I think cheaper option is willem???
Best option is Labtool 48???
I really have not seen working, so need help to decide one.
Thanks.

I've been using SmartPRO X8 and no matter what.
Software can be updated at any time via online.
This tool can read and write EPROM 28f200 28f400 29f200 29f400 29f800.
I use this to read and write 28f200 on BMW ECU DME MS41.1 with PSOP44 adapter.

Try to use both LPT and USB cable.
Perform the hardware test before using it read and write EPROM.

Xprog-m cannot do the job, willem should do. For willem and 29F200, 29F400 you would need a PSOP 44 to DIP 32 Adapter.

Is that proper adapter (http://www.sivava.com/buynow.php?pd=B15) for programming-reading 29f400 & 29f800 that it's on Mercedes-Benz ECU with Willem programmer?
Zmann
16th July, 2010, 04:41 AM
Yes, it is used for those chips but only for the specific programmer.
To avoid buying wrong adapter even it looked the same, if you're not sure of the adapter configuration (wiring), buy the same maker as the programmer or can buy from different maker but with clearly applicable indication. The adapter in the link is for PSOP44 package to DIP32 but not a universal one. It can only be used with its own Willem programmer to program 29F400 etc. unless the other programmers stated that this adapter is applicable. And for sure this adapter cannot be used with all other 48 pin ZIF socketed programmer such as Beeprog, Labtool-48UXP, Willon and more. They normally use PSOP44 to DIP44 but maybe with their own specific configuration again. One of my programmers is GQ3-X Willem-USB with ZIF 32pin socket, its same adapter look same to the one in the link and may be used.

I'm going to buy a Willem GQ-4X to read 29F200 (and such) flash memories.
There are two types of adapters for this job.
1. PSOP44 to DIP32 with socket
http://www.epromirok.hu/image/cache/data/psop44todip32_fogl-500x500.JPG
$72
2.PSOP44 to DIP32 adapter without socket
http://www.epromirok.hu/image/cache/data/psop44todip32-250x250.JPG
$8
so there's HUGE difference in price!!!! Will the board without a socket work with the Willem GQ-4X?
I've found this:
