Xprog M TMS issue

Has anyone had any problems reading TMS370 with xprog-m? I have tried to read quite a few opel immo2 TMS with xprog without success, Omega reads them fine so not a chip problem.

Whenever i read i get 'Bootloader initilising error'

Anyone had this? I have 15v external power.

Just did Opel Immo2 with 28pin PLCC TMS.
Was working fine with Xprog-M

Never had a problem on v4.5 or v5.0, just tried it now.

thanks guys, it must be my adaptor, or power not getting through, as i also can not get the EWS k line to work, that needs external power to.

Ill do some more testing.

In some cases xprogm not have power supply connector solded on pcb.

There is a TMS chip with i guess 14 or 16pins,maybe its TMS370C702 usually in Immo box , how can i read this with UPA-USB or Xprog-M

still having problems, i put power supply to xprog, no usb etc, 15v supply, on the programmer pins im getting between ground and +12v - 14.55V and between ground and k-line 12.91v so i dont think its the power? Adaptor looks good. any ideas?

Hello. I've tried to read a TMS374CD13APQQ a ecu "IAW 1AP.81" with Xprog-m clone and gives me the same error. I put the welds as the manual says and I fed the developer with 15VDC. Do any of you has done it read?

with my x-pro m i can read and write TMS with only usb no problem , if i put 15v dc i get errors.
check soldered joints and also try another usb lead as these seem to be faulty as well on some other posts.

You need bying UPA with TMS + NEC adapter because they sale separated. I also cannot read by xprog and maked adapter.
UPA can read full flash + eeprom

The common problem with the X-prog and TMS is that the adaptors are of poor quality. I had the same "BOOT LOADER PROBLEM"
What you should do is don't press the chip fully into the PLCC socket. It should only be half way down, keep it pressed lightly with your thumb and then press read.
After I learnt this trick from a friend I have read many TMS on my X-prog Clone without problems.

Yesterday read immo from opel astra 2000 with xprog 5.5 clone. 15 v power supply. Read without problem.
