Take out control module, pax side under glove box, and read eeprom 93C66. Post dump here, with the barcode of the remotes you need added and it can be done easy enough.

what equipment would i need, i have mvp and sbb but both dont support this system.

no kit needed its all programmed on the bench with lost keys, its common for no comms and EKA not to work if you dont have a working fob.
If you are ok reading eeproms, then your programmer is all you need, post the dump up here,
If your not sure what im going on about when i say eeprom or 93C66 etc, I'd suggest you send the box of to someone who can program them in for you. Im on the wirral, if you want me to do it, PM me.

:barscarf:thanks for the info mate, but ive just managed to get a ecu set and fob from a local breakers yard for next to nothing, all up and running- but i am trying to get my hands on an eeprom reader/programmer to use on these 8 pin serial eeproms, I used to dabble in electronics when mobile phones were first about but ive become a bit of a dinosaur now, just trying to jump back on the bus!! Could you advise me of a supplier?? Once again, many thanks for your help

Hi
Never wanted to ask you a question.(Because you always say you know nothing but noting)
But this can not be avoided now.
What do you mean with above post?
Can i get existing fob to work again that way.
Have got t300 clone.
It seems you must get all units online before you can get them to be commanded in your direction.
So first force and then they follow.I am in a bit of a situation here.Chk thrd about rover scu.
Rgds
I tried shorting pin 1
This how i did it.
Disconnect car battery.
Short pin 1 93lc66
Connect car battery
Remove short pin 1
No siren
Cannot get eka code inputted by doorlock(Anyway You can with persistence)

2) Could you use that dump to make the first two keys 'reuseable'

1. Hex workshop. I spent a while going through the dumps working out where the barcodes were entered, and coupled with PierreTheron confirming what I'd suspected, it's actually p*ss easy to add fobs direct to the dump by bit banging.
2. I guess so, but why use T4? Empty slots are just FF'd. Assume you mean fobs rather than keys too, as the keys are not chipped. When I get home I might put up a better explanation of how it's done. Just search my previous posts to see the thread I'm talking about.
3. In the advanced reply option, click the attchments button, select manage attachments, upload what you need, then select them from the pull down list next to the attachments button.

Good god no, just do it the Hex editor way, why spend beer money on software that does something that's already easy! :)
What I really want is a programme to pick apart a TD5 Land Rover 93c*6 dump so I can find out where the injector codes are. Nothing I can find will do it for me unless I fork out best part of ?350 for a Nanocom and read it back :(

Hi
Why . when the old remotes are locked , can you unlock them this way as well without T300?
Already under way to buy this software.
I know that you can use the old bar codes and remotes from damaged SCU again on another SCU with this software.
It just seems easier to use the software than to work out and edit everything..

This is true, but I do this as a hobby, so all software and tools are funded by me; if I can get away without spending money, then I don't mind doing the hard way!
I didn't say it was pointless software, just that I can do what I need to without it!

Special thanks to v8dave for helping on this one.
Meaty if the bar codes from a faulty SCU are moved over to a good SCU there are no need for anything else. Just plug in the good SCU with the added remotes and drive away .Just remember the vin number is important as well...
So you can collect some old SCU's with remotes and start unlocking them.
Let see what ninja 123 say , His dump is the test now .
Cannot wait for him to report back.??

I've just noticed that it's an old dump that you and I discussed; I should have put the fobs in 1+2.
I've had a few people use dumps I've edited but as ever, no one ever reports back :(
I've also nearly finished a MEMS sync rig, and have now picked apart the 3 pin - 16 pin wiring, so am going to test that shortly too :)

Not sure what needs to be done to unlock it TBH, think it's 'locked' from a T300 point of view I.E. no diagnostics or reprogramming short of reading dump for barcodes and virginising/reprogramming.
I know Avon Diagnostic have a neat little machine, but guess it probably brute forces the immo code to make it think it's talked to the proper fob.

Yeez, Meaty now eventually you answer my question about the pin shorting of 93c66. Will try that next time i get a rover with locked SCU . You can just stick a cat in the horn or unplug it if it bothers the neigbours.

I'm suspecting more and more that it's being brute forced to unlock by simulating a fob. Easy way to check would be a near field receiver to see what RF mush it kicks out.

It really is hard word to do anything with - the e-mail thing on last page don't work! Total pants.
"Z786 Motors" and "OBDMaster Motors" both come up in one hit on google! - well if you know the name of their parent companies they do
If it had some kind of 'second user' would give you a password - but
but NO OFFENSE bit doubious of givving password out - told Devilfish it lol - if you can't trust him then bail out!

There is difference between the file if you look with hex editor in textfile.. If it is important, we must wait for ninja 123 to tell.
This is how the screen looks like .http://www.keyprogrammers.com/Pektron3.htm
You open the file it tells you that the file is recognised and then show the existing bar codes.
You press on remote button and you add the remote barcode and then do the next one the same way.
You save the file and you are done.

JUst been studying the 2 modified dumps, the first just by adding the bar codes in the correct place, and then the one from pierre supplied from the pektron software.
Very few differences, but, there are differences, instead of FF after the barcode, there is 00, and after the added remote (it looks like pierre only added the one) there is a 01 instead of an 4A
Maybe this is the difference between a locked fob and a working one??

Ok cool
1) Whilst you are sifting through other peoples dumps you could see
if you can identify the engine 'pairing' code
2) Just for fun - assuming this is possable can Pieere - re-do
the other dumps with his software to lock out the first two remotes
and/or modify a dump by member Nutloose from other threads
then we can be sure if this is remote lock out or not

Nutloose could not unlock it with this software with the dumps he created for me. I did not have a remote with barcode to add. Then with T300 i could pair the old remotes in the SCU.

Fixed engine and re fitted old ecu set with frist dump modified manually.
NOT WORKED.
Removed 93lc66a eeprom to upload pierres dump made with software.
With new rework station in hand, i proceeded to blow the chip off the board.
Then, grabbed eeprom with 3m test clip to program and 2 legs broke off chip.
Now im ~~~~ed.

Head gasket :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:
Slightly out of my league here -
a) Download replacement off ebay - i ended up when killed my programming tool
b) Scrap yard - find a fiat Shiticenco or simular fiat puntoII
(do a search on here for reference) and download one out of one of them
c) PremiarD said "Fitting an elephant into a phonebox"
unable to upload 93C66 file to see if 'short enough' to fit on 93c46
d) Clifford car alarms
e) Go to local - computer shop and download an "Ethernet card" for
$1 and TRY 93C46 off it - not seen one without one yet
f) Cobera car alarm (later ones)

Hi
To remove 93c66 from mems 3.
Bang up the heat to 450 degrees C.
Use no nozzle or 30 mm size.
Heat bottom aluminium plate up for a while to spread the heat.
Heat up chip.
Have patience on this chip.
It takes a while for soldering to go shiny.
On first removal you need to burn away the glue underneath the chip as well.
Remember keep airflow low( 40 to 50 %)

IF ANY BODY LAUGHS AT THIS YOUR GOING TO GET A PUNCH IN THE PROFILE
Had same problem, ended up pinning some bloke up his inbox - he said
"It is because your chips are 16 bit - this is why you can't write as 8 - bit"

oh, and my programmer is s#!t
at the mo, im using keeprog usb, it seems to read the chips ok (sometimes) but i have only successfully wrote back to one (93lc66a) once.
BUT, it WILL write the scu file to an eeprom from mems 3 93c66 (just to test) but this chip wouldnt work when put in scu.
Was even a bit hit & miss at reading the eeproms from scu.
Just ordered another s#!t programmer to try, dont want to spend a fortune on a programmer just for these!

2) go back to smega-shop.com and down load the serial version programmer.
MAKE SURE YOU ARE 100% CORRECT WITH THE CHIP WHEN YOU DO ANYTHING WITH IT AS ONE MISTAKE IT BLOWS THEM SERIAL PROGRAMMERS

AAH cool. Could you query the the fact you have got only '16 Bit' chips?
Could other members
1) Add password to a 93CXX then try writing see what happens
2) Try blanking said above mentioned eeprom - repeat experiment
3) deliberatly try wrong password

Right guys, finally got a new programmer, and the results are as follows
I just changed the remote bar code in dump for a new one, NOT WORKED.
Tried adding remote in position 3, NOT WORKED
Added remote in position 3, then changed the FF's to zero's just around the barcode as in pierres mod using the software, and hey presto, it worked!!
Tried it with a different barcode, and still worked.
At last, i got this nail sorted and paid for, and hope never to see it again!!
Thanks to all who contributed help on this thread, esp pierre, top man!:champions:

I got microwire serial eeproms from rs (93lc66a 8 bit)
Used cheap programmer from bulgaria, you know, the ones ofa flea bay.
Use pony prog software
write as 8 bit only
I have a diesel MG ZR in at the moment.
So, just for test purposes, i read dump and modified with another fob, wrote dump to new chip (old chip will do if you have one), and soldered to a scu from a petrol car.
Plugged in and all worked and no need to pair with engine ecu, so the pairing code must also be stored somewhere in the dump.
If ya need any more info (or a scu unit, of which i now have a collection!!) just let me know!

Just for curiosity:
Aliexpress offers compatible keyfobs for a small amount: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/4000044842536.html?spm=a2g0o.order_detail.0.0.65ea 6368UEvYmr&gatewayAdapt=glo2deu
Is there experience if those are supplied with necessary barcode?
