ecu replacement w211

Hi everyone, i am replacing ecu in 2005 e500 , swapped memory in 29c04, plugged new ecu, got communication back on, but the car still does not cranks and i am getting no codes from ecu.

Anyone with advice?? See attached dumps for reference if needed.29031

29C04 ?? on ME 2.8 ? it's not the write EEPROM , you should look for ST 95p08 , good luck .

Is ECU on the top of the motor ?

If it is you need to clone EEprom Flash and MPC564. Or you need virgin dump and SCN coding to finish the job.

If ECU in left fuse box just copy Flash and EEprom.

Just post a picture of open ECU both sides I will tell you what to do.

If your ECU is ME 9.7 . M 273 then you need BDM programer , it's the best way ,

SMALL 8 PIN EEPROM WAS REMOVED FROM THE BOARD.
SPOT WHERE IT WAS, CIRCLED.

The maps and possibly the IMMO is stored in the 29F400 on the board.

Why the change?

As you can find out from the old file, the E500 has M113 engine ME 2.8.

Post the picture with the new ECU.

your dump from old ecu have 256b and valid data and dump from new ecu have 1024b and have no valid data ????

I hope you took the original dump of the EEprom because ones you installed it in "other" ME it will change the dump and it will never work in original ME or any other.
The correct way is to replace a Flash and EEprom at the same time. This is 100 %working solution. You dont have MPC564 so you dont have to worry about it.

DUDE !! you confused ! this ECU is ME 2.8 for 113 Engine Not 273 !!! you only need to virgin the EEPROM and code with star !! we done that 100 times !! 273 ECU is 9.7 and it mounted on the engine note that .

i had cloned eprom, and nothing, car does not crank, checked with Lunch, no codes but no crank.
