There is nothing to attack, read NEC dump, use input values from it and calculate original code from eeprom dump or calculate new strings for new non original eeprom dump. All things "attacked" and completely solved at early spring of 2011. :D

You also need the flash to change the twelve byte encryption key. The eeprom data won't help. The code IS on the eeprom but this is like the Visteon Ford sets to some extent.

The last 3 digits of the code are recoverable from the eeprom using the flash key. I am working on the recovering the first digit. If only the last three are recovered you get 4 combinations so you would have to try at most 40 code combinations to get the right one. If the first digit is still set to only a 1 or 0 then this reduces to eight codes to try. It is a very elegant solution by Blaupunkt and not like the Ford at all.

The Orange rewrites the flash with a new key. I am working out decoding the original code. I have now worked out how all 4 code digits work and how to change the code without the need to write to the flash. You still need to read the flash to get the key but I am looking into the possibility of doing everything via the eeprom data. At the moment I haven't even investigated this part properly. If you notice the first 3 bytes of the key have the same xor pattern as the 3 code rows. The rest of the data is used to reconstruct the decode table.

This IS the old algo with encryption added and ALL 4 digits of the code are in the eeprom contrary to popular belief.

yes, all dumps i will provide are from one unit with its Bosch/VW serial number and its corresponding opening working code - the same for all units ill read.

another thing i know so far is that there are two VW serial numbers for two types of RCD510 - one ends ...190 and another ends ...190A - the difference is in the software which is in the front panel module. one difference i know so far is that the 190A has more UI languages.

Without the flash dump it is not possible to retrieve the code. You can convert the code digits back to the old algo if you have the flash mask but without it there are no reference points. This is very simple once you work it out but why bother? I would recommend the Orange 5 with Pavel's software. It does it the RIGHT way.

Yes I uploaded some rows from an other dumps and i calculated chk and worked my swing radio.

Solution :

Copy 4bytes AE0-AE3 & B00-B03 & B20-B23 from code1295 dump.
Plus !!! Copy B40-B57 all data !!!
Plus pls calculate chk B80-B9D....

If wrong chk the radio showmessage : SAFE 1hour and radio OFF.
