If you are having problems entering Xentry key, copy attached dll file by impactops to C:\WINDOWS\zak\Starutils folder. Then you should be able to enter it.

For DAS developer you need to have another separate key.

You do not need Patrian normal tool. This solution replaces Patrian normal tool. I've added information about it in the first post.

You should know that Patrian Normal Tool replaces your key and changes your AppID. I have attached Normal Tool removal utility. Use it if you have Patrian Normal Tool installed as it is no longer needed.

Can you explain what prevents me to edit the file "directly". I cannot save it with the same name. What I did was I saved it with a different name, then "deleted" the original and renamed the modified file back to the original. I wonder if something gets broken this way. The file is "protected" even if I log in with a different XP account.

It's not an issue mate it's normal MB have done it this way, but that does not mean that the remaining vehicles are not in xentry already.

Added solution for version 09.2010 and CAL872 fix for all versions.

I was hoping somebody would figure this out besides me, because this solution is simmilar to the earlier one and does not require much time. A week has passed and it does not seem that many people were able to do it. I know that one member (MBDas) came up with simmilar solution to the one I am posting here. So i would like to congratulate him.

Maybe you are using old solution? New one is just .exe file which you launch and press "Yes" to install. That's all. No need to copy layoutManager files manually.

I guess I did give you a good hint but I still think you are not only a genius but a clairvoyant too.

Now I have the program running, just have to go an test if I have any more luck connecting to the Xentry car compared to what I had when I tried the 07-version (but I was using the old guide for that too).

Edited: Tried in the car, before and after the 872 fix, I still get the same (1.17)-7.870 error when I have selected the car and Xentry diagnosis tries to connect to the car. Click OK and the (2.27)-7.870 error follows and Xentry diagnosis closes.

I assume it cannot be the two of us who have tried Xentry 07 or 09/2010 in real action. Would be nice if those who have tried real diagnosis would at least confirm that their installation works fine. The next step could be to figure out what did these members do differently.

I have same problem as nguyennhatquang. I just using 03/2010 Xentry with 09/2010 DAS to diagnostic W212,W204 or W207

Doesn't this look like a DAS error message? I do not get this error with DAS but I face an error with the same number when connecting Xentry to a car. Obviously the DAS fix isn't sufficient.

If "someone" can fix it, I guess DK experts would know the solution too?

have used several attempts at fixing a problem I have from the moment it installs.

in Das when I try to communicate I get the

(1.2)-503.9551 error fault number
- Internal Error: communication software error (CAL error number 503)

This is when trying any comms with any car in laptop 1. Laptop 2 gives the same message but the error number ends in 9550.

IN Xentry if i try to go into the same vehicle via DAS - for example 203 - i get the same message.

My ceasar works and infact if i modify the stosa test file I also get comms with the multiplexer.

TO avoid any wasted effort. I understand the the DAS fixes, am well aware of PART D etc, have eliminated the C32 problem, as have tried with and without original file and checked versions etc.
I have tried with normal keygen, with Dev keygen of JC which I know creates a problem, have reverted back to original keygen. I have tried both of the new normal xentry tools etc, and a variation of keys in xentry.

Have tried also developer and normal DAS keys. I think the problem lies with DAS, and I have followed install process many times before with previous versions, etc. I have made many installs of May/June 2010 with same problem everytime using 2 laptops to do different processes to try and find the problem. I have all the pills, and tried many combinations. I have used the 0507 tool, have reset keys etc etc, and also used new common pill both for DLL & St Utils, and tried it all without them.

But no good. I tried this file, I ran it but still getting the CAL 503 - 9551 error message in DAS>

Its blocking me from getting any communication within das or xentry still.

Anymore ideas would be welcomed as its one of those problems thats been going on to long, and now i cant see right or wrong anywhere -

Nothing i do seems to change the message, hence I can change keys, run fixes, change configurations but still this damn message.,

I am right in presuming that SPOT xen key 1.0 is still okay for 05/10, as long as the 050710 medicine is taken and the new common. pills are used for the F/xen/bin - dll & stutil folders

Did you tried in cal.ini Part_D2 (NO simply & ONLY D)?????
Did you have ALL the "GOOD" replaced files in your Bin Folder?????
Did you have ALL the 5.2010 AddONs installed?????

And something last:
Did you tried any Hardware "Swapping" m8?????
I mean MOSTLY your Cable between Laptop - Multiplexer...
(EVEN if Caesar Test passing OK.....)

Yes I check CAL.ini - d & d2, even went and found a file with other letters which are used for certain comms in stosp -= no good

I am 95% i have all the bin files as good, but i must check again i suppose as somewhere there is an error

I am sure i have all download or update files

I have no hardware problems with cables etc - and of course tried more than one mux- with 232-485box and straight through cable on diff unit.

But i think your D & D2 is in the right area of thought. Although this issue you mention is checked - i think it is happening like when in the old times in das we used to get - '' rs232 - hht win error messages'' which would block DAS. Back then I used to go into com ports and clear the extra com ports ''in use''. that would fix that problem then - and also if I remember it was very similar message in the 2008/9 DAs.. 9551 or 9551 as I remember for this problem. But checked this com port in use old issue (hht win rs232) and still no solution.

If i enter into Xentry and go to new e class - and try for communication I get TOP OF THE PAGE message - 9916 - no sd tool kit selected. So it would seem like this would work if I had e class to connect to but i dont - this 9916 appears when checking with no mux attached. It appears only through DAS or Xentry to DAS that this problem exists.

I will download the file NGUY... thanks for this attempt. I test again in the dark and report back asap.

Re-post the question on the correct thread, even though i posted keys for hadleylee here which appear to have a never ending request for keys.

The other thing is that i suggest you do is alot of reading, you have made a 3 key request and have only given one HWID?This tells me that when you are given a key you are going to say that it doesn't work?

I think that so far only StarSecure updates caused problems, but my new guides have StarInsecure application which runs at bootup and removes any known restrictions.

I assume it cannot be the two of us who have tried Xentry 07 or 09/2010 in real action. Would be nice if those who have tried real diagnosis would at least confirm that their installation works fine. The next step could be to figure out what did these members do differently. I am having the same problem as well. I could install it successfully but encounters error 7.870 in Xentry when I tried to connect to W212 and W204. However, it could at least know retrieve the battery voltage and ignition status. Really hope that Mr Patrian, Mr Z or Mr Impactops could offer us an elegant solution.

I am following the video. I install DAS developer key in star utils. I DO NOT install Xentry key.

The I start the DAS install and get this error

Well, YES existing USB -----> RS232 Adapter but you need to discover 1 Good & Special... :afraid:

Better and the BEST for your Situation is to buy 1 PCMCIA Card with COM Port for your T30... ;)

Open it and resolder the pins to the com port mate.
It happened to me too and it solved the problem.
It is not something difficult and the chances to fix it are big...

Your Multiplexer is Blacklist and Xentry DID NOT allow you to use it in Real Diagnose!!! :evil:

Search in the forum and i think easily you will found the solution... ;)

Problem for Xentry error [2221-0] solved. the solution will be as follows:

If setup Xentry diagnosis hangs on creating icons and folder message shown,
open the directory F:\programme\xentry\bin and rename those files: userconfig.xml, userconfig.xml.ja, userconfig.xml.ko and userconfig.xml.zh to something else.

Do this while your installation shortly after the folder \Programme\Xentry\bin is created these files appear and remain until setup completed wholly.

2nd question : You can install DAS/Xentry on VMWare - I am using it as such on my windows7 -i7 - However I haven't tried it on Macbook. MAybe another user can help you on this

If you are having problems entering Xentry key, copy attached dll file by impactops to C:\WINDOWS\zak\Starutils folder. Then you should be able to enter it.

For DAS developer you need to have another separate key.

I guess if one has an infected computer, these files can get infected too but the the forum or the person who compiled the files cannot help in that case.

Hi m8s! I tried to copy Co*L*.dll to the right place atthe Original Compact 4 , and then to chaange the key . There wasn't developer mode in the Xentry programm. Where is the mistake? Thanks .

This solution allows you to use your old keys with Xentry 01.2010, 03.2010, 05.2010, 07.2010, 09.2010 and 11.2010.

Features:

I don't know what is wrong there but if it is sufficient for you to get over this issue, then just delete the lines from the script that are supposed to install the NetFramework part, you most likely have that installed already anyway.

The script does seem to work if NetFramework is not installed but fails (at least often fails) if it is already there.

I assume your DAS key is fine? Sounds like a conflict with the old key, delete the key history first and try again.

The 163 should have been in all releases that have existed since the 163 was introduced. Your issue must be something else than the DVD release.

this was quick mr Z ok i have das developer key i tried it and it didnt open development data and i tried the xentry developer keys that where given here on this great forum and starutils didnt accept it this is my problem my das version 7-2010 is working great but without development data and i want it to open developer mode and its not working



my das works even keyless and when I put key for developer mode
nothing changes with das even if the key is wrong but xentry says no access authorization could you tell me how you fixed this problem how I can remove keyless working

You could have confirmed that you changed the file from the correct folder as that is what I asked, instead of reporting how many keys you have tried.

If you are having problems entering Xentry key, copy attached dll file by impactops to C:\WINDOWS\zak\Starutils folder. Then you should be able to enter it.

For DAS developer you need to have another separate key.

Easier to change the language than reinstalling everything. Just search for help from the forum. Xentry is controlled from the setup, DAS needs other tricks (you can do both DAS in real diagnosis as well as for simulation mode).

HHT language change is easier than DAS simulation mode. Just change the language code from hhtwin.ini, or delete the language codes and HHT asks you which language to use.

I installed das 03/2011 on XP. Its working fine. But on every start up i got the error like: could not load C:\program files\java\jre2\lib\i386\jvm.cfg (may the path is not correct i am not at home now ; ) ) What is the reason for that? System variables? but which path exactly? or a property file? Well the path exists, but this XP installation is german so the path would be C:\programme\... not C:\program files, but where to change?

otherwise SDNC.exe does not work and Xentry will not startup (gives a 2200 error or something like that)

When to service is created go to services.msc and start the SDI... service. Adapt the setting to automatic

You joined Apr 2010, you have made 34 posts since then.Every single one of them has been requesting help for DAS/Xentry.No one else seems to be posting problems regarding install.Even if they may come across one they have gained enough knowledge to solve it themselves.One would expect that the advise given too you would of been some of the first things to try, instead of requesting help for every single hiccup you encounter.

Now if you were being charged for support, would you be asking such questions?

How I must insert the key for the WIS if it don't show me WIS in the list??

After finishing the das installation, start starutilities and you will see the wis key again.

DAS is working fine, but in Xentry no connection with the multiplexer, SDNC also not sees a multiplexer, what could be the problem?
