Hello guys
For several weeks I bother with an 307 2.0 2004.
First time client come with problem on nr.3 injector but I try to not remove because it was an mecanical problem so I recomand to use an gasoline additive for cleaning the injector and for 2 weeks work good but after the fault come back but more obvious and plus an message on display saying catalytic converter fault but not other code just about nr.3 injector.I decide to change injector and after removing and fault code delete all seems to be ok.Today after 2 weeks after inj. replace client contact me saying that yesterday night engine not run good and today morning cannot start engine.I go to car and see again the message about catalytic converter and after diagnose I get two error code P0300 and P1336.Try to delete them and start engine and match and engine run good but I decide to take the car to workshop for more investigation.Forget to mention it is automatic gearbox. After 1-2km the check eng. light again and engine run sometime in 3 other time in 2 cilinder and so slow I got to workshop and here I stop engine and start again to see what happened.
This tine engine start good and run good extra I tested on road and run like an F1 car but with check engine lighting.
I try to check this two fault but cannot find in my documentation.
Someone can give me some advices about this situation and for this two faulr code?
Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Tapiru,

p0300 is a general misfire code, that might cause damage to cat. converter.
P1336 refers to Crank/Cam sensor range- performance. Here you'll find more info:

DTC P1336 58X Crank Position Tooth Error Not Learned (http://www.bba-reman.com/content.aspx?content=ASDF_DTC_P1336)

You make sure the problem is not an aspiration of air or MAP sensor alone.
Personally I've a similar problem with this type of engine in a Citroen Picasso and checking coil control (co oscilloscope) had found a fault in the engine ECU on the final stage.

If help you remember to push the button thanks !!!

Please report if you find solution!!!!

Thanks colleagues!!!!!!!!
Excuse me for not responding but I was too tired last night and I fell asleep in front of PC.
Something I heard about coil in same situation but was strange for me because cannot imagine how after stopping engine and start again the engine will run good and the fault code remain.
But same time the electronics car are sometime woodoo.
I'll keep you posted on what I did.

Hello
When ECU finds out that there is a misfire in a cylider after a while stops actuating the injector of the cylider that misfires. Thats why after shuting off and then starting again the problem stops but the engine light still remains on. You have to find out why engine misfires.
Maybe a faulty ignition coil as already recomended or many other reasons. In peugeot there was also a problem with the wiring of the injectors. Happened to me sometimes.

When you read fault codes with a Generic EOBD/OBD2 scanner there's a problem with a lot of Peugeot/Citroen ecu's.
You need to interpret the fault code a bit different. Cylinder 3 is not the actual cylinder 3, but the third in the firing sequence (1,3,4,2) which is cylinder 4.
Cylinder 4 on some models and engines is known for water ingress. You may want to check that.

The above is true for Injector fault codes, but could also apply to misfires.

Extremely funny this kind of engine.
Dear mate I will suggest you some tips in order to find a match because this engine it caused me many sleepless nights, a mysterious unknown shit.

1) Replace the battery, put a new one, you should do it without any questions.
2)Clean body mass and fix it well, especially the one on the gearbox.
3)Clean the butterfly throttle and make auto adaptions engine cold.

If you need the procedure of auto adaptions just tell me. I can tell from experience that what ever you will change on the engine this customer will come back once in two weeks to visit you because of dam p0300 and p1336, even if I'm sleeping if you ask me about this two p codes I will tell you it is a 2.0 engine petrol shit.
Hope it was helpful

Don't forget to make auto adaptive s, vehicle cold until the fan start working, because I'm sure that vehicle will cam back again with the same symptoms. It is essential mate. By the way I'm glad for you that at list you succeed to manage the problem, I'm having every day french cars and sometimes they are just a headache
