Hello Friends

Is this right and can it be applied to a used ecu from another vehicle ?

1: load carsoft file. is your file OEM a different file? If it is can I have a pass please.
2: Start engine.
3: Reload the original file saved

Is there an option to do this on the bench with no car ?

I'm guessing starting the engine clears the eeprom.

*BRIILANT - LOVE YOU LONG TIME*

1) OEM password please?
2) Darwins, your cool, did you sort this on the table?
3) Did immo light go off?
4) Did the mil go off?

1) Don't bother just use post File from post 19
2) Yes i manged to steal a OBD socket off a VW Gulf - to connect
Galleto 1260 CLONE to this ECU - grey/white pin 7
3) NO not with file from Post 19 - but engine DID start
4) YES, thanks for asking Meaty

5) The T/C light was on with the post 19 - file - reinstalled
orginal file, CURED it.

6) BOOT PIN on CAR - NIL POI - unplugged the ecu - rammed a piece
of wire down the hole where pin 20 should be, just undid the nut
holding ecu down for a ground.

MUST DISCONNECT BATTERY FOR BOOT MODE TO 'ACTIVATE'

7) Right on the table you insert the file with Galleto 1260 - says turn off
igntion (Google traslate says "turn off the picture for 10 seconds"):roflmao:

If you follow below picture it leaves the last bit of the dump UNWRITTEN

So i manaaged to find off an INFEROR website a pin out for that ECU.

INFERIOR WEBSITE

ME7.3.1 injection/ignition control unit
The control unit is mounted in the engine bay over the throttle body and withstands high temperatures.
The control unit memory is the 'flash EPROM' type, i.e. reprogrammable from the outside without intervening on the hardware.
Replacement of the injection control unit, air capacity case or the throttle body integral with the D.V.E. means that the self-learning procedure has to be carried out.

IF ON CAR:-

1) Disconnect battery
2) smash plastic cover off ecu
3) unplug ecu
4) ram a bit of wire down the pin 20 hole
5) plug ecu back in
6)connect wire to one of the holding nuts for ecu
7) battery on
8) ignition on
9) select 'ecu info'
10) select read ecu
11) "TURN OFF DASHBOARD" - turn ignition off.
12) Disconnect battey
13) Remove boot wire
14) Post on DK result

IF ON THE BENCH

you *MUST* make sure the B+ connector has B+ at all times

Same 'rules' as above.

When reflashing- you open file, then load to ecu - then it
says "XXXXX XXXX XXX 10 SECONDI" - turn ignition off
press ok, then all of a sudden job done.

Wicked i really *ENJOYED* this one.

The ecu was ****ed, but is ideal to make a test lead for obd testers.

From your umpteen PM's this is the flash from a second hand ECU.

IF so then you might as well just leech this wicked file

well use the leech funtion to get the working dump figure out where the immo off bit is, and edit yours to suit

OR

install that immo off 1.6 file - start engine - stop engine reinstall the file you uploaded - as you can't get orginal out

then *TRY* proxy aliment with fiatecuscan or alfaobd. :roflmao:

Thank you for the file!

It seems to work. I tested it in a spare ME7.3.1 ecu I had here which was replaced because it kept giving the error "P0606 - Microprocessor fault". (do you know what does it mean?)

I uploaded your immo off file and everything seems fine, the ECU is showing "allowed to start engine" in FES and amazingly now it doesn't show the P0606 error anymore! Weird...

I don't have a car to fully test it (will see if I can talk a friend to let me borrow his car for testing).

Then I tried to upload another ori file to my ECU and the P0606 error came back right away!

Any ideas?

M-H, I don't think so, as I tried different dumps and the result is always the same.

For some odd reason the immo off dump fixs it...but only till you write the ori again.
