dongle is no good as it only works for the 4d keys these are 4c what chip do i need to be reading out of the ecu guys?

Hi guy,
You were advice to do so since. After all you must have gain in experience from trying to use dongle.
This said, the memory device to be read(chip) is likely the serial eeprom 93C56 or RA56 or LR56.Read dump and post here

its got 93c56 its ever so small i presume i have to solder this onto the upa programmer ?

here is the dump from 93c56

Use this virgin file for DENSO ecu 93c56 and follow a key match method:

Insert key (DO NOT TURN ON), wait for 4 seconds
and remove key. Repeat for all keys to be
programmed. The last key programmed will
automatically be set as the VALET key.
To exit from programming mode press the BRAKE pedal fast 6
times, with the Master key inserted.

Regards.

i will try the dump thanks i did program a eh transponder using zedbull plugged everything back into the car but still the security light was flashing so i checked the coil ring on the ignition with my ad35 tester and it seems the coil is faulty ? are these common with the lexus? either i need to replace this first and it might just cure the problem fingers crossed if not ill try the dump thanks!

Hello,
If the amplifier coil is faulty, transmission is not possible between Key and Engine ECU.So the best step is to replace the coil first.

put key in the ignition and leave on for 30 minutes the key will re-rgister its self then start the car.

Very common after battery goes flat.

thanks but the coil is faulty so i need to change that first then take the next steps ive read the dump off the chip and soldered it back on just waiting to get a new coil then try that :)

just changed the immobiliser coil with a brand new one but still not working checked it with ad35 do you think it may be the module ?

The coil is only active when the vehicle is searching for a transponder. Ie you must have a key inserted (activating key in ignition switch) Although if this switch fails ignition ON should also force the vehicle to search for a transponder.
Also once a correct transponder is found the vehicle will no longer search for a transponder, until the key is removed and the same or another is inserted.

Send dump you have used to program the key along with the key logic you have program.Checking may reveal something.

hello,
That is exactly why i wanted you to post the dump here.
However, if dump is corrupt, reset the chip by using the following virgin dump if the chip is the 93C56.
After, register the key back(even the used one you have)

Good luck

did you manage to check dump to see if corrupt? ill virginise it now and see if that does the trick thanks :)

im going to try the toyota dongle on this see if it will program a key to it

Did you actually attempt to use the dongle on it Jim??

JIMMYQ

No i did'nt mate as it clearly said on the dongle not for 4c. im going to check all the fuses once again and even replace the whole immobiliser module as i only changed the coil might have to change the amplifier module too

No i did'nt mate

:) 'tis good that you didn't. It wasn't clear if you had or not.

The Tiris you posted is evident in the dump and appears to be in a master key slot. Have you checked the 'new' coil to make sure that it's not a dud? (rare, but it can and does happen)

chap said it was running fine until the battery died on it

Did the punter say if he had tried to jump start it?

right heres the problem there is no live to the coil amplifier. i put the new coil ring on as mentioned above which did not work aswell as tried a few different dumps on the ecu

the keys would'nt register as the damn transponder coil was'nt working

i tested the wires to the transponder coil there's no live.
when i used power probe to give it live the the coil works :)

ive checked all the fuses drivers side passenger side and under the bonnet everything seems to be ok.

ahl i think im going to put the original dump back on the ecu if its got the key data in there then it should start the car too as ill put a permanent live on the coil and then retry it all.

whats the procedure for using otocheck? i tried that too ran the dump through that too is there a procedure to do with the key ie leave in ignition etc? ( just for future reference as im going to use original dump again now)

ok guys problem solved got the car started with virgin dump and also downloaded a wiring diagram which showed me which fuse powers the immobiliser device ( coil) changed the fuse rigged it all back up ignition coil was working left key in ignition 10 secs and broom broom!!

thanks guys much appreciated for all your help and advice :)
