M35080 vs X-prog.m

Hello I want change mileage on BMW with M35080 3 and x-prog don?t do it (erase) ... UPA same... or I must any settings?? Thanks for help me

I buy 2 pieces 35080 6 but are faulty.. show only 00 no FF and do not programming. O(

if put in adapter in programmer, and after clear will have not in first two line 00 and from 3 line FF, then is M35080 not good (if is V6 and MP then will have on first two line originall data). Or you can heve wrong programmer.

I still have 10 pcs of those BAD eeproms thrown somewhere... The ONLY way to fix them is REPLACE them with good ones, there are a lot of those defect eeproms coming from china.

I think I see here on DK one post where someone complains about 35080 from china with the same issue like yours ... Seems to be various ic?s marked as 35080 but , in fact , maybe isn?t eeproms.

I had 10x chips from china - all bad :2in1:

It seems that China "quality" has reached their "best". I think its time for new market "Made in Brasil ?" or so.

all M35080 from china is 25080. you can try to use as 25080

x-prog can program in circuit.. but problem is n35080 is it 50 vs 50. better is get new EEprom

Hi, I think he means that you will have a 50/50 chance of it working, (by erasing the old data)

Thanks for the useful info. My fake M35080 from china, when they were reading as 35080 resulted all 00 and almost been thrown away but, from your advice, now reading as 25080 get all FF and programming works fine.

No incremental register on first two lines.

I read this thread but Im still confused if the X-Prog M can erase the M35080 V6 (original ones, not chinese part) or not?

By the way, if someone has the clone X-Prog M be aware that the pins of the M35080 adapterboard can be soldered at the wrong side of the adapter. Mine was wrong!
