with the 35080 will not work, your database is half the 160dowq, it is double in size, it is necessary to replace the same or 35,160, or delete your! R270 is able to do this!

Codyprog is damaging 80D0WQ when erasing! Some addreses in 0x00 and 0x10 becomes not write able, and stay 00 after programing! I do not know what dash software will "say" about some 00 in milage location. When I will have more time I will "play" more and will report here...
But looks like there is probleme with 80 and 160 D0WQ...

I've played with codiprog damaged d080d0wq. If first 2 locations it is damaged then the dash will no work. I did today an opel astra and when i install a d080wq with first locations 0 , the dash display dashes instead of km.

It seems the damaged bytes after erasing is not proper to the codiprog. ETL's 08ODO eraser too does the same thing. Some bytes remain on 00 and can no longer be overwritten by a higher value. I'm not really sure that this eraser from Minitools is better than codiprog or ETL.

Ok, I try to write original file off of D160 chip into M35080 and it give me error at address 400 and it pretty much just doubled the file, SO 00 to 3FF is same as 400 to 7FF
Using xprog, anyone can help in sorting this out for me?

I have a mismatch dot and every time ignition switch on and off it adds 3 miles
When I read file from D160 it reads correct, but when I use new D080 chip to write, xprog give write error at address 400 and I continue write.
After finished, address 00 TO 3FF is as address 400 to 7FF

Ok, I must be doing something wrong here, I try to write (new chip, have used these plenty with no problems quality chip) 080w0dq with file below with xprog as m35160 and it will double file info after line 400.
so 0 - 400 same as 400-800. It will reread chip but info is doubled, and during write it gives me error at 400
I was getting red dot on dash, does anyone know if I have to do something in settings of xprog or anything?

QD080 is almost same as M35080
QD160 is almost same as M35160
so if you write 080 into 160 then it doubled yes
hass42
2nd December, 2015, 03:23 PM
I am writing 160 into 080 and first half of 160 is doubled onto 080
seems confusing, but im sure someone gets what Im talking about here
vageric
2nd December, 2015, 03:25 PM
you cant write 160 into 080
because 160 is bigger than 080
160 is twice the amount of data that go's into 080
hass42
2nd December, 2015, 03:31 PM
That makes all the sense to me, but I have read time and time again on here that I can write with no problem. So it makes me wonder if there is a way to do so?
vageric
2nd December, 2015, 03:34 PM
i think you have read that some write QD080 into M35080
or even M35080 into QD160
but 160 into 080 just not possible. otherwise you will loose data
or the data used in 160 is same amount as in 080 and the rest (second half) are all 00 an FF
hass42
2nd December, 2015, 03:51 PM
I see, so I need to use the 160 because my 160 file has plenty on second half of chip. Ok

Good advice!
Never change 35160 or 160d0wq to 35080...
If change is needed change it to same one...
35080 is 2 times smaller than 35160...
You will loose data in BMWs after 2010-
These have data stored after 35080 capacity!
