someone use hitag v3 ?? I want to program a new key to BMW E60 -. I have dump form cas 2 and when i put to programmer new key I have info - non recognised PCF type. When I read good key from BMW i can read everything but can't program new.Why I have this problem? Thanks

Some vendor sells both Hitag2 and Hitag2v3, both look the same with red colour on black plastic box. On my learning step I just bought the cheaper one Hitag2, it's on the way. Someone know if there is a possibility/risk to run this unit with v3 or even newer soft.

Never use the machine with newer software, only use the software provided with your device, I did that and my device is locked just a piece of trash now.

Hi canorivera, just got mime of $49 mentioned on my first post a few days back. I try and now run it on v5.2, working with no problem so far. the unit came with no sw cd and Im lazy to search for the older or v3.

Hi Zmann, lastest version is 3.1 even in original device, maybe you have a different unit I think you have Gambit II not Hitag2, can you upload a screenshot??

I'm now running mine with 'Hitag2 key tool v5.2' So, mine cannot be run on 'Hitag2 programmer v3.05'? regarding to your comment. Any strong point of each tool?

I have both tools also, but they are basically the same, just Avtotools Hitas2 is a little faster.
