This is becouse there where used a very bad way of deleting ews from your file, alot of FF`s , there is a better method of doing this to keep AC working (2 bytes changed only).

I read something about a simple method (fill a special area with FFs) which kills the air condition function?

thanks a lot friend for your help but I have a problem writing this file and the same for original file but I did before 2 ms41 ecu's fo bmw with different part no without any problem I read this ecu by fgtech v 53 without any prblem
I think the problem cased by the fgtech version 53 clone chines
the error that I have is to send the log file to fgtech company with the ecu details

I think that you had read file by OBD and then you fill with FF to complete 256kb as you read it with a external programer. The file that you posted is wrong, missing lots of data.
Anyway, I upload for you your file and a file to program by OBD, both of them with no immo + checksum ok

Thanks marcolr, for your help, but none worked.
I try to programm your OBD file and I get now not the checksum error, I get an error saying "generic error".
OK, then I tried my file OFF with the programmer, I programm it, and after programming when is verifying I get an error too about checksum.
I try it, and no, car does not starts.

I think its maybe about that verifying error, or checksum.

If you have any other idea....

Marcolr. I dont know if i put original file if car runs, as car its far away from me.
I used to read those files first KESS, and later Programmer GQ-4X.
The files I posted were the ones readed by KESS. And cleared immo by Ecuvonix soft.
I attach here now both files, readed by KESS and readed by GQ-4X.

When i tried to write back with kess i always got a checksum error.
And when i tried to write back with GQ-4X, the same, I got always a verifying error with checksum.

Hope you / someone can help me.
Would be nice to have a trusted solution, as I told you car its about 40km. from me.

hello mates, i wonder if anybody could read 5wk9 0322 Bmw Dme Ms41.0 ECU with
fgtech galletto v54 successfully . i tried to read with fgtech galletto
without success the program keeps saying (start reading.......error data 1) .
note that my galletto is functioning properly because i tried on other ECU ( me7.3h4) for
fiat punto and i got a perfect reading .
any idea please

not all MS41 ECU's can be writen by diag plug, only newer with 29F200 can be write, old are with otp eprom and can be only read...

...I have success to read write with old galleto 1250 without problems, not tryed with v54

Not all MS41 ecu have 29F200/28F200 flash. Some of them have TMS flash and eeprom. For these last of them writing via OBD is impossible and immo off as well.
