You will have to do it through Dreamup with a null modem cable, the are loads of threads covering this on the forum if you search No Ca Found.

On the DM800 se clone u can only flash original images prior to 15-02-2011. To recover the box you need to download sunray flashup tool & use usb to service port lead.

Try this,,,,

what you have to do
1-run dreamup , connect DM800 with cable
2- under dreamop select network and in the remote ip (box) put the ip you want for your box
3-now switch on the dreambox, dreamup will prepared the box for flash
when ready for flash
4 take the remote ip (box) then follow the procedure through the web now
192,168.xxxx.xxx
will get to the upgrade firmware page

This will force the box on bootloader mode

I hope this will help

Its early days for the se model imagewise.....give it a while and images will start to be developed.
Stick with what you know unless another image is recommended by other se owners.

Hello,

I also scored good ERREUR01: CA NO FOUND when I turn on my 800HD SE clone

so I tried to flashed through Sunray dreamup by following your method but it does not work, I think I need to do as it should ...

I run Sunray Dreamup , the 800SE I connect via USB (COM6), tick "Use network", I put an IP in "remote IP" and I then "Connect" and turn on the 800SE ... satut is that my "Box iS HTTP network mode".
I there before an web page and I type the ip dream and it doesn't matter ... is normal

if I open "flash" and I insert the boot SSL82 2.10 ".. I have a message" Calculatting checksum ...." and the message is more than an hour without doing anything.

how? I pet not be done the right thing for me to access
der the web interface for reflashing ...

if anyone can help me will be nice ca ...

thank you

You're not having much luck with that box mate.
Think thats why its best to wait a while and learn from other peoples problems.
Guess its all part of the Dreambox learning curve.
If you get the No Ca Found problem sorted can you post your results and tell us what image caused you the initial probem thanks.

Thanks for that. Was so happy to see your post about the cable....literally jumped out of bed.

After an hours worth of trying....couldn't. Get Sunday to connect to the box art all.

Let me know if you got any ideas.

right. it wouldn't work on my laptop.

so i used the pc and all looked good got it to flash.............then box is flshing from memory..................and thats where it has stayed.

i have tried flashing from the browser as it has a ip address on the front pannel.

that flashes the image upto about 60% then skips to 100%. when you press reboot box.....does nothing and says errors on page at the bottom.

seems it's not going my way...

anything else i can do??

I suggest u try another image. I flashed the dream allrussian image of 02-01-2011 and subsequntly flashed the SSL82 nfi file(bootloader file) and then rebooted box. Everything was in order. Alternatively visit Dreamoem website scroll down to the bottom, there are patched images for sim 2.10, try flashing one of them. You do not need to register.

The DM800SE No CA Fix:

1. Download Sunray Flasher here (http://www.4shared.com/file/ToeEdW02/SUNRAY-FlashUP.htm) (for DM800SE and DM500HD with Sim 2.1)

2. Download the Second Stage Bootloader Here Hotfile.com: One click file hosting: sim2SE_SSL82_110620.nfi (http://hotfile.com/dl/124063258/816588c/sim2SE_SSL82_110620.nfi.html) It will fix the no Ca found message.

3. Open Sunray flasher and connect via USB Mini (and use network mode for faster flashing) to your dm800se. Flash the .nfi SSL 82 bootloader file. :) (http://www.hdtvdreambox.com)

4. Turn off box. Now hold the front standby button and power on. Open the DHCP IP in your browser and flash any image of your choice.

5. IMPORTANT: Repeat Step 3. Now your done!

Note 1. I find i cant flash an image using sunray flasher, so thats why i used the browser method.
Note 2. If you don't get a DHCP IP, put your router IP to 192.168.0.1
Note 3. Use Internet Explorer to flash. FF4 wont work :)

most of the cases are fine with just connecting through dreamup. this should get you your IP staright away. thats how i fixed mine, connect with null mode cable (full null, not serial), turn patched dreamup on, click connect, power on dreambox - it should give you the IP on the OSD now. then use the ip to flash it with the browser.

and ff 4/5 works fine mate, so is google chrome

ACtually all it has is a mini usb cable and if you install these drivers (http://www.ferraribox.com/download/dm500hd/CP210x_VCP_Win_XP_S2K3_Vista_7.rar) on your pc you don't need USB to Serial Converter :)

Hi all But what happens when Sunray gets to the "waiting for acknowledgement" stage and hangs please? Full story here if anybody can help please: Hi guys/girls Please help only I'm fkuc'd. Got 800HD se and loaded Sat4fun SSL84 as read on this forum - was "playing around!!" yesterday and downloading items via the TSpanel, when I got the message I pushed the blue button and everything seemed to be working as it had when I'd done this previously!! When the orange "loading bar" on the front of the DB got about halfway there was a click (fan switching off?) and the box switched off with just the blue LED on front showing. The problem is now because I can't switch it to deep standby the Sunray dreamup loads (and tells me the dreambox is there) but hangs on the "waiting for acknowledge" and won't let me reflash. (Also when I switch on the box with front button held in it comes on with the stop and ip address but when I put this into browser it can't find it - don't know if this helps or confuses things!!!) How can I overcome this please? Many many thanks for all help and suggestions - not too technical please as I'm no expert - as you can tell!!!

Hi Southpaw Well you are not going to believe this but I just got 5 mins to look at replies and when I "hooked it all up" to get the info you asked it all started working as should be so I've quickly flashed it with the same software but think I'll stay away from the Tspanel for a while!!!!! (The only thing I did different was to actually unplug the power and leave it till I got home tonight!!?) Just out of interest when you do a restart and get the "do you want to update......" message do you say yes or no please? (I haven't had the guts to say yes!!!)
Thanks for all your help and when it goes wrong again I'll be back!!!!!!!! Cheers mate

Don't know if this is the right place to discuss this but here goes!!! When I put my ip address into my browser why is it I can't flash a new image? The box is "speaking" to the computer as I can watch whatever is on the DB and I can change channel etc. The heading says "Dreambox WebControl" is this correct and do I need to change any settings on the box or computer please?

to flash via web browser you need to put your unit in "flash mode"
remove all power , leave for couple of mins ,
apply power lead whilst holding the on/off button in (keep pressed until display reads stop ,http mode , and ip address is displayed)
then enter this ip address to browser , it will load up a 2nd web browser type page , with function to "update firmware"

Hi,
I discovered that i have a hardware issue.
Actualy my system is DM800HD se, it has mini usb. I discovered what was wrong. My Silab usb to serial adapter (which is on board of DM800se) does not work properly(even if it is correctly discovered by win 7). I was not able also to use null cable (i connected the wires directly on board after Silab CHIP) and ethernet with Sunray. But after a few hours of trying i discovered that when connecting only TX from my serial port to RX on the SILAB chip system continue to boot after CA NO FOUND ERROR. After that (1-2 seconds) i unpluged this wire and push the front button to stop into http mode. I don't know if this is working only on my defective board. Using this method i was able to boot original image. Thanks for help. It will be nice for somebody with a non defective board to test my method.
