this one will never work because the code is incomplete (??) - you probably installed it on a laptop without the proper hardware instead of a genuie Examiner tester....

No but i notice that touchsceen isn't working, tried both with win98 and xp embedded. Today I installed win98 using recovery and no response from touchscreen, maybe is defective?

Bios passwords are usually quite esily overiddien, you would need the manufacturer of the board and revision number. Doubtful Fiats architecture design team would got to the length of writing their own full bios.

Do you know anyone else with examiner? If so compare all hardware. Any pci device onboard can be locked to bios, but if you can identify the one that has an incorrect pci-id then you can swap bytes of the number to give the same as comparison unit or you can mount in your pc using a pci adapter.

Maybe someone has tech manual with the relevat hardware specs on it?


If you do not feel like going down that route then you could pm me a price. I like to tinker.

One other pointer, a Linux Live Cd is most handy for these kind of issues.

Actia Italia has stoped technical support of the old fiat examiner since the new one called Wi-tech has taken place.

2). Re flash There was a flash to solve this problem
3). Blue&me Microsoft or Laubehorn causes that sometimes
when you remove the battery plug, so you need to stop engine
remove BAT (+) wait 5 minutes replace plug and wait a bit
to turn key ON.

All above have happened to me in many case so far.

I know this thread is little older, but i have a similar problem.
One friend (who was Fiat - Lancia dealer) has gave me a Fiat examiner smart, but it was broken, the Hdd was died.
I have change it, for one refurbished, installed Win 98 second edition, Recovery cd (2.2), but when i try with Examiner cd (6.0), it ask me for password, that we don't have (my friend does not remember it, and has not any documents left.
The ID is T33H4 - H33H7 - 1V416 - 340U5 - F633A
Somebody can help me, or say me something about.
