MPCZ561MZP56 inside.
Does anyone know what will read it, and connection points please.

I might have to cut a unit up and experiment, but before I do can anyone help?

UPDATE:

I cut up a damaged unit. Using Xprog is not going to work unless the pcb is removed from metal back for connections and this is going to destroy the unit !

I can confirm ST10 flasher I made works 100% unlike any other clone tool i have tried. A full read or write takes approx 10 mins
verify works 100% either by single bank change or full rewrite.

This is not a standard connector BOSCH.

Use xprog standard BDM Bosch ECU.
ECU need supply 12VDC.

that have 12 test point, so, is not standard BDM with 14 point.
First, you need to find GND point and after another point in order of BDM in Bosch ECU's.

Standard BDM Bosch have pin 3.3Volt.
Put power supply 12V DC on DME, measure that BDM pin to find 3.3V pin.

you shouldnt have taken out from the board in the first place, you need crystal oscilator to read the mcu

Hi about clone ecu - if your second ecu is the same HW/SW number just you need to change eeeprom and flash (replace) from the burned ecu to the new one if they are not burned , (you can try to read them with programmer ) .
And the car will start .

Original ECU water damaged. So got new ECU. Can I use Xprog to clone over old data?

this is normal edc16 bro , just look here and you will find it exactly for the xprog , and yes if you can connect tot the ecu , and read it on the bdm hole ecu , just you can make the swap of the ecus . here i tried to read med 9.5.10 with x prog through bdm port ... got some errors like ("mpc cpu exception error" and some times "sequential error" some times just "initializing" with too much time and nothing happens) this was due to powering ecu on bench from it's connector and connecting 7 wires to xprog although measuring 12v and gnd on bdm port (not ecu power supply circuit problem)... so tried powering with a charger directly on bdm port 2 points 12v and gnd shared with xprog and it worked ... here are some pics ... this may help

xprog is not the best option to work with this unit. There are a lot of cheap tools

i read my ecu file with ktag all so far good
i write back mistake my old file i read with the kess
now i only can read with the ktag but not write
because the kess file is missing the first 20 page
ktag say operation not allowed I CAN READ WITH MY KTAG EASY CAN SEE THE 3 FILS BUT NOT WRITE
CAN ANY ONE NO HOW I CAN WRITE FILE DIRECT TO AM29BDD160GB
I HEAR CAN write WITH XPROG how i do it do you have pic or info

I looked hard for BDM connection with XProg for BMW Bosch MEV9 ECU but no luck... I only find many for ME9.n
Does anyone have this please?

you can use Galleto 2 clone work fine with it or BDM 100 or Xprog




Which EDC16 uses 5V instead of 3.3V on top left pin? In Fgtech SW we can choose 3.3V/5V for BDM voltage
