Hello,
with this diagnose I have some experience, it is good for codding keys and old cars.
You can?t absolutely use it for diagnostic FAP and for example reset ECU KAM.
To my opinion this system has some mistakes. I would rather recommande you Ford VCM IDS.

Did you said that you had experience with this tool
Are you talking about genuine one or about clone one?
Any review will be usefull. I haven't seen any Secons forum or people which has experience with the FOCOM.

If i have not this cable, i buy one. I will try the update too, maybe the Actuator test will be work too.

I have genuine license and yes I'm always respect others works.
@jstanchev - if I will remember from where I bought the clone of FoCom I will let you know in privat becasue I do not want to make advertising for noone. And if you decide to buy from there you can do on your risk.

i have the original focom , Actuater tests also doesnt work on it too..

Genuine FoCom or clone it is the same
The FoCom softwear dosen't support Actuator teste, so FoRD VMC OBD softwear as well.
Or maybe just in the cars I tested.
I suppose that it is a bug for sure

Who spend a lot of money for VCM it is ok, who cannot spend and whowon't to spend they can use FoCOm.
Well we cannot aspect from FoCom to become as VCM becasue it is a big diffrent but for small gages I suppose it is very good investment.

1996 ford f-350 power stroke no communication at all
1997 lincoln continental very limited communication
generic ecu support only no air bag no i/c no door module
model list is very limited on usa cars
if car is not on list it will force you to use generic mode
which is about the same as the clone elm 327 and the free software that comes with it
this is the clone of focom
tattle is the software size, how much value is in a program of less than 4mb
here is a pic and software that came with the tool
not enough product support to be of much use
wish i would have put the money on ids vcm instead

Although American, European or Australian models are not very different, US customers may get "Unrecognized ECU" message more often. We're more than happy to add support for new ECUs (control units). If you face any difficulties, please inform us. We are here to help!

Please note that the same applies also to Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercury, Mazda and other brands covered by FoCOM

Well I don't know what coverage it has in US models but that cracked version it is too old.
On the other hand IDS it is not just a diagnostic softwear that's why t has more then 4Mb.
It has a lot of stuff as electrical diagram and much more.
This is just for diagnostic.
