Just goes to show, people invest MILLIONS and MILLIONS of pounds, dollars, grouts whatever - airbags, abs, esp, cruise control, intelligent windows, solar glass, power ashtrays - but then they somehow - 'forgoet' to make it impossable for the milage to become IN-correct.


The thing is a new car and it's IN-correct already - Makes you wounder how far out the speedo will be after 5 years on the road.

Can only suggest, you leave the speedo cable unbolted - maybee that will stop an incorrect milage reading.

As soon as I turned on the ignition, the mileage changed from 15335 to 00000 km. :D

UPDATE: Dash not working 100% correct. Customer just called and said that BC is showing only "---" for remaining km left on current fuel level. Will be back next saturday.

you broken the legs of eeprom ? easy put one new and program whit the original information and ready , 2.- if you not save the original info you have big problem because need buy 1 bcm and adapting whit MDI interface of GM need Security code and need buy 1 key new and this key its very special

Hello!

So, the customer arrived and I tried "reseting" the dash by holding trip reset, turning ignition ON and holding the button for 10sec ... no luck.

Also - the problem is not that daily mileage counter does not work (is works OK) - problem is that remaining mileage on current fuel level does not work - it only shows dashes "---". See the picture attached.

How to solve this problem? Does anyone have virgin dump for dash or something?

Oh - forgot to mention - all other functions of Board Computer and everything ... are working 100% correct.

i am ahmed from egypt i was solved dash problem after we do correction for km from bcm eeprom 24c16 really only bcm can do mileage but when you connect you see dash not work full gag show --- only switch ignition off and remove dash connector for one min and put it again you will found every good at dash please chosse thanks putom
