Hi I tested it. Software is same as Ford IDS with limited functionality.
Functions are limited to Module programming, programmable parameters modification and PATS coding.
This software is checking subscription online via motorcraft website. Calibration files are downloaded directly from motorcraft web
So connection to net is necessary.

It's still asking for incode! What you where imagine - get passthru and without paying anything?
Oh no....you were thinking wrong.
That's all just about business(money making).

Didnt think that i would get it without paying anything ! but it would be nice , your supposed to pay for subscription lots of software but do we ??? The answer NO! , so why not get away with this for free ??? i was only asking , if anyone had it or subscribes for it , and how it works ?? do you have any idea how it works ??
Thanks kev

Incodes isn't an issue lots of solutions for that:-), to have the software means it can be looked at (inspected), need to think of the bigger picture:-)

I think the most useful answer about this may come from our American friends.
I think that they are far ahead from Europe in this.
I have seen Passthru/programming solutions, but finally it's all ends to incode. Even Fuel Injection pump programming.
Incodes are working with any coding device(I'm using Autodiagnos machine or cloned IDS).
Sorry can't provide pictures.

Think Software version 75. Just needs some tricks with date (turning back) with no updates from Motorcraft.
I haven't seen newest Ford cars in our workshop and for American Ford it's working as well.
As i said before. I know some man who can provide out code for me. Right when i need it.Directly from Ford, not by calculators. :-)
And I can provide some things for him....when he needs that.
That's how it's all working for me. On exchange.
I have people what i can ask for some particular things all over the world and at the same time they know if they will be asking me,i will do as much as i can to help them.
So....as i can't provide printscreens about all this let's leave some space for more clever people than me.
Best Regards

Guys, for your information, ford ids software and ford module programming software don't play well together. I recommend that you have seperate pc's for these or a partioned hard drive.
hope this helps

Why would you have both installed on same machine? If you have IDS then you wouldn't need to install the passthru version..... so if anyone knows if it can be downloaded from motorcraft site please post link..or is it like the mazda version where you must purchase first before seeing the download link, if so please tell us.

Hi Drakov. The reason I said that is I program multiple vehicles and have many laptops. I like to have back up programs so I tried to load fmp on a laptop that had ids on it. That's how I know.

Fair comment, so do you have the software backed up anywhere? Or know of a weblink where it can be purchased from Ford?

Drakov, what I have experienced is fmp software is like the ford ids software in that after you down load it it works well. The problem is that ford constantly updates their software and if you haven't updated in awhile it doesn't allow you to use it unless you do. Especially for module programming. I have seen where they send out updates monthly! For example, ford ids version 76.0 came out around november 16th. I just got a reminder to update to version 76.3 already. Its actually a pain in the ass.
hope this helps alittle

I always update mine even if I havn't used it since last time, my interest is in the passthru protocols used and if they can be copied into normal IDS allowing it to be used with J2534 vcm's, also can you confirm if the calibrations are downloaded from internet to calibrations folder inside install folder? If so then we could copy the calibration files from dvd to folder then less chance of internet connection being needed (for mobile guys)

When you download the cal file does it ask to save to calibrations folder?
If so pm me

No. That's the thing about keeping the software updated. When you program it grabs the latested cal file. But I believe that when you update to the most recent software all the updated cal files go into the recommended folder that the software uses during install. Look in the ford motorcraft folder and you should see all the files. If you can't find it let me know.
are you using ids or fmp?
