I did repair one like this, it was a broken solder on a smd component.
I took around 2 hours to find it! And of course have to take out the display
Look for this near the transformer

I think on DK is evry solution to fix evry Scenic dash fault:
http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f174/repair-dashboard-scenic-2-a-59335/
for me for evry cases take max 1 hour on simply steps:
1. Dismount dash->open->desolder TFT screan
2. Solder new UC2843/IRF/capistors
3. Check fuse and some resistors
4. Resolder by Hot-Air whole DC-DC area
5. CLEAN BOARD
6. put TFT screan to board without soldering,
7. connect to emulator and power if working solder TFT and back to car or customer
8. If not desolder 93C56 and check dump
9. If dump is corrupt write good one (member about version)
10 back to 5 :)
and some usefull soft from DK

hello jarecki55
thanks for your respuest.
do Hello
when in step 2 comment
new uc2832 solder? you mean the eeprom 2843b
in step 3 you say that you connect the box to the emulator...
do emulator you use and like connect to box??
in step 9 to check the dump of the eeprom 93c56, that you use the application I've facilitated.
hope your answer
thank you very much for answering

sorry, you right is UC2843:) I have special Scenic dash CAN emulator or you can use any can analyser for read can in scenic and transmit can id on table. Is simple solution if you dont have a car.
From short time I start use this soft or open in UPA and visual compare same soft version.
baest regards

Well i didnt know there was a soft for correcting the dump
In my case the dash increased Km to about 4 times!
About the solders, i've done component by component, and by areas, so the component was an smd 0805 near the transformer on the upper side

Hi
thanks for responding.
To emulator used to try the digital Board without the present car.
where has purchased the emulator and how to connect?
So that you use the upa programmer, Oh I guess to read the dump and compare it with the small application if the dump read okay?
Hope reply
thanks

This is very cheepp CAN emulator solution and powerfull :
http://www.modernsoft.pl/index.php?site=oferta&p=1
(price is about 40Euro)
if you find time to read CAN message in cars you can:
-Emulate:
.Scenic Dash just connect 4 wire (you find connection on DK)
.Espace dash
.Etc.
-jump km foward on many cars without km correction on prog or PC
-open door lock use low speed CAN in keyless car
-start car without immo
-etc
ps. small aplication is for change dash paramers but if km or vin or any parametrs is wrong or not complete you need find good dump and set parametrs on. Then use small software to put correct vin language etc.

mcu has soldier again and what kind of mcu is and where it is located.? Is it the mcu that is beneath the large lcd?
and what is the resistance of 0, you can tell me how to locate?
I reviewed parts of the digital Board solder and I'm testing the box with the emulator I bought car prog
but the table board is set to off,
and blinks only when you try to move the grey connector any digit LCD of radio. can which be the problem? I have removed the grey connector and this all perfect

People please read this thread, everything about these dashes is writen in this thread.
The repairsolution is for 95% always thesame.
Only the 12 pieces 1R resistors need to be replaced or resoldered, the fuse needs replacement in cases where the dash has fallen out completely and the irf3710 needs replacement in cases where the fuse also is blown.
Personnaly i always replace the fuse irf and 12 resistors and resolder complete PWM circuit (between the 12 resitors and transformer)resolder microprocessor.
Other parts almost never fail they only need resoldering.
In some rare occasions the eeprom dump gets corrupt or even the eeprom gets defect.
I repaired about 700 hundred of these dashes it is almost always thesame solution.

Hi,
Topic is old but I only have a question.
Does anyone here have a list of the components?
Some of them are clear, but the fuse, capacitors (possibly), transformator, any numbers as reference please?
Thank you
Best regards,
