Yes m8, everything working, hard to believe. I ve bought the key from ufodiag.com they ve deliver an excellent customer support. If u need the contact just let me know. By the way the only drawback was the key supposed to be 434mhz and it was but had 315mhz written on the back.....

In my opinion we'r looking another crap here.
This will pump up the market as super me love you long time style MHM loves long time :D ...
After couple of months support will stop nothing new will be fixed added or anything, xcrap will not reply, etc etc..

Its same what has been seen on other xcrap tools...

I used on E65 CAS 1 - working,
on CAS 3 and CAS 3+ tested on few cars working
still having problems with CAS2 connect ok but i received
the nessage skip security failed - tested on 3 x CAS 2
1 was ok read write - 2 no :(

what I learned so far:
cas plug does connect only cas1, cas2 on 7 series plus cas3/cas3+. white box cas2 e60 does not work with plug, canH and canL are not on the right pin. for those you have to connect as per diagram on instruction manual. Otherwise it works well on E69 520 I, even if all keys are lost. It can change mileage (in cas only), does not write/change chassis number, does synch with engine only if cas/ecu are paired, not if you replace either one of it...

I also just bought bmw multi-tool and it works fine.

but after making key that works to the car, a red light (Steering Wheel Lock) indicator in dash is on.

Do I need to use this function Synchronize "CAS and ELV" ?

just a little shame that it can not be done by the OBD plug.

I purchased this tool just for the purpose of making key for CAS3+ when all lost key.

And it doesn't work.

Tried contacting the sellers (they tried to help but seem clueless/helpless).
Tried contacting the makers (X-Horses) who have a forum that doesn't accept new users, and JohnBarton931 hasn't replied to emails or skype.

Tested it on 3 different versions of CAS3+, tested with blank transponder, blank original remote key, and blank chinese keys.
And it never worked. Just gives this funny error:

I have paid $800 USD for a tool that just tells me to contact dealer to order a key :)

Infact all I need from this tool is to just give me the 3 byte PSW field that should be written to key (C8 A1 A2 A3)...that is the whole SOPT obstacle issue, just 3 bytes (correct value of A1, A2, A3).
Anything else this tool offers can be done using tools not exceeding $75 USD (MCU reader/writer and a hitag2 reader/writer).


If anyone has successfully used this tool to make CAS3+ key when all keys are lost please let me know which CAS3+ firmware version.

Any help/hints would be appreciated as I honestly feel ripped off.

It's not possible to make key CAS3+ with all keys lost in updated BMW. NO matter what the seller's tell you.

The Manufacturer of this tool and readme.txt that comes with this tool claims that it can make make keys for CAS3+ when all keys lost.

This means that if you have an encrypted CAS (SOPT activated) and no keys, this tool can make key.

I have extensively tested this tool on CAS3+ with ISTA-P v39, 41, and 45.

And the tool failed to make any key when all keys lost.

The 3 versions that I mentioned in my previous post are listed under "SUPPORT"

The two pictures that I posted show that I have tried MultiTOol Version 4.9 and Version 5.2 and both failed to 'make key for CAS3+ when all keys lost'.

I purchased my MultiTool less than a month ago so it already came with latest Dongle & Device Software. PLUS after it failed I desperately chose the update option TWICE and in both times the update succeeded, disconnected device and reconnect, read CAS, try to make key...and it fails I get the error message shown in the pictures I posted.

Can I post here a CAS3+ dump, you can write it on any CAS, make key or transponder, and just tell me the PSW field of ANY key. That would be enough for me. And I would be totally satisfied with the $800 U.S. dollars that I paid. Even if 'my particular' device isn't working.

Where I come from, 48% of the population earn less then $800 PER YEAR. So this tool truly cost me an arm, leg, and penis.
(Luckily we have cheap Viagra clones though.)

Here is CAS eeprom dump, firmware doesn't matter but if it is needed I could gladly upload.

If this tool, or ANY tool (KeyCoder, Abritus, whatever) can just answer my question of 3 PSW bytes for any of the 10 keys I would gladly purchase it (yes I would purchase another BMW MUlti TOol and just assume mine is a faulty unit) and it would be the best way to see a live demo before one shells out more $$ at these tough economical times.

As for returning and asking for a refund, I doubt that a manufacturer who lies about capabilities of his tool just to market it, would refund. IF this tool can't do CAS3+ when all keys lost, and manufacturer knows this, then it is expected that I would ship back the tool all the way to China at my expense and get NOTHING in return (no money, no tool).

Any CAS3 when updated by dealer will become encrypted CAS3+
I've seen many 2007-2009 cars that originally had CAS3 and are now CAS3+.

I haven't tried any of its other features because I simply don't need any of them (I can achieve these functions using tools that cost 1/10 of its price).

It does read CAS eeprom correctly without needing to solder I can confirm this.

It looks to be an abandoned project by the developer.

Sorry, no first hand experience on BMW Eplorer. I does sound on par with AVDI which claims to be able to do CAS3+ all keys lost. Here's from their description:
"Key programming for CAS3+ with latest firmware version (ISTA-P 45), (ISTA-P 45) even if all keys are lost!"
Again Most of them tools claim to be able to do it. That is before you buy it, so don't take my word for it. It looks like BMW engineers are winning this one for now.

Even the 4.8 version that is on the official forum is posted by a member called EcuTeam (not Admin, not 'support'). And hosted on a site in Poland that has nothing to do with the x-horse.com domain....so how can you trust that? Same member released 4.7 on a .cn Chinese domain.

The official forum won't allow members to join, including those who bought their official tool like myself. You register & wait for confirmation mail which never comes. So you can't logon or post. If that is their policy, then I wouldn't be too amazed to see that there are higher versions released and they just don't post it on their officially locked down forum.

I can only assume that v4.9 is legit because it came with the Multitool I bought. I also assume that the Googled versions are legit due to the following reasons:
1- They won't run unless they see the dongle that came with the device.
2- They function the same (tested 4.9 when it didn't work I tested 4.8 from x-horse forum, and when it still didn't work I started Googling for higher versions which all failed as well).
3- They have the same funny typos like 'Unknow CAS', 'You have 16 atemps'.
....so far I trust these versions to be legit more than I trust the functionality of the tool.

The new version looks promising and the details are very nice. I truly want it to work and will test it and report.

I believe all adults (and some kids) know that: If no like anything, is easy not buy.

I buy tool because I like what it claims it can do (make CAS3+ key when all keys lost).

When it failed to do the job, I started to not like this tool.
When the error message I got wasn't helping me make the tool do the job I bought it for, I started to not like this tool more.
When I wasn't able to get any support or join the official forum of manufacturer to get help, I not like this tool even more. (All these happened AFTER I had already bought the tool).

If my issue was not liking tool color, or not like tool features or not like GUI (software style) then I could have decided before buying tool, that tool is blue/grey while I prefer Black/Red for example. Therefore easy make decision to not buy tool, BEFORE buying tool.


Again thanks for the support, and I wish to GOD that it works because I truly hate to feel that I've wasted $800. I want it to work. I'm on your side. I'm just a client that wants the tool to solve the problem it was purchased for.

Followed these instructions from page 37:

a. First ask you it needs try 16 times (at most) to start engine. Continue
b. Choose new key type
c. Put new key into device programmer to pre-process
d. Before continue insert the success pre-processed key into ignition

can?t start Press ?NO?, else ?YES?.

After each failed attempt, I always rewrite CAS with original EEPROM data, so CAS is always returned to original state just like when car first came to shop.

I have attached Flash and EEPROM dump. Please write this flash & eeprom via BDM to ANY spare CAS3 with MCS9S12DXP512 MCU, then you will have exact same CAS like mine.

Then please use this CAS with your Tool, using your method, and make just ONE PCF7936 or Remote key. You can choose any key to make from 1 to 5.
If the tool works then you should have IGNITION ON.

Once you succeed to make key, please READ KEY with any Hitag2 reader and just tell me the 3 PSW bytes written to your key or transponder.

From the 3 PSW bytes, I can tell if you posses a working tool/concept.

You're obviously involved in development, and involved in writing the manual that claims it can make key for CAS3+ when all keys lost. So I'm sure you can make some calls to your Chinese resellers to refund my $800.

I have spent the last days debugging and analysing cas3+. I can assure you : your tool, or any other tool will never make key for CAS3+ when all keys lost unless:
1- You work on DME as well, which will be tough for locked DMEs like updated MSS60, Tricores...etc.
2- You make a pcf7936 emulator that brute force attacks the system.
Each KEY in CAS3+ can have 1048576 (2^20) different PSW field that will ALL make cas3+ turn ignition ON, but only one value will start engine. In your tool's manual you somehow assume that you have only 16 attempts....I don't know what you were thinking regarding the other 1048560 left attempts...maybe you thought you'd get lucky?

Have you EVER tested YOUR TOOL with ANY cas3+ using the 'All lost key options' and got a running engine? (Please answer YES or NO)

So for your tool (and other existing tools on the market who claim same myth), regardless of software version, or updates and bug fixes, it just won't work (make key for cas3+ when all keys lost).

Anyone who claims otherwise is just releasing pure PHeSSa, or 'ZoRRaT on BaLLaT'.
Which is fine, we all get gases every now and then...only we don't package these gases with a dongle and sell them for alot of $$$ claiming they will defy boolean algebra.

there are tools. i have tested one myself, and it did the key perfectly, for new X6 CAS3+ all keys lost. most tools are fake, but some realy work, as there are backdoors in cas system as usual :)

It's ok I don't mind underestimating my work. And I'd be happy to change my mind based on solid proof.
The tools that do so must be restricted to certain DMEs. The makers of these tools state something like: 'Make CAS3+ when all keys lost for MSD80, MSV 70...etc." because some DMEs are blocked like updated MSS60.

These tools use option "number 1" that I mentioned in my previous post.This is a workaround not a crack to the 'SOPT' concept. Because since you're working on DME, and manage to get the required data, then to hell with CAS3+. Just make your own CAS, with any key data. You can de-SOPT CAS, make non encrypted CAS3, nothing will stop you from starting engine.

I'm talking about tools like this one that doesn't even query DME. Or restricts it to certain DMEs.
That is why I posted eeprom, flash dump for anyone to clone my example CAS3+ which is the oldest ever firmware (because firmware is not a factor in this SOPT game). And post valid Key info ...that way you have my CAS and NO DME ..this would be a true 'Proof of Concept' that encrypted CAS3+ has been broken.

If you have access to such a working tool, please be my guest: Clone my CAS and just 1 key post result.

there are tools. i have tested one myself, and it did the key perfectly, for new X6 CAS3+ all keys lost. most tools are fake, but some realy work, as there are backdoors in cas system as usual :)

The cas might not be SOPT_ACTIVATED, the required info to make this possible maybe already be pre-known from a previous working key, or the DME may be read to extract required data.

Again, you can use my eeprom, flash to clone cas and post any generated key result using the working tool.

I am sure the BMW Engineers who made this SOPT system are laughing their ass off at those who claim they made a solution.
Simply because the magical bytes that do the trick do not exist any longer in CAS3+.
Even CAS itself doesn't know this magical value. That is why CAS3+ accepts 2^20 possibilities for each key and will greet you with KL15=ON but engine won't start.
I am willing to prove this for those willing to experiment :)

Tools that were asking you to wait for update, or downgrade firmware were just trying to gain some time while they figure it out. And those who did figure it out, will realize they need to attack DME, therefore they clearly state that key can be made when all lost keys FOR CERTAIN DMEs.

You are proving my point. This is using method 'Number 1' I said earlier. If you already know ISN and/or ClientKey, then you do not need to worry about CAS3+ at all.
I am talking about where you have say an updated MSS60 with CAS3+ and you want to make a key WITHOUT having to change DME or knowing ISN/ClientKey of the DME, because if you do KNOW IT, then you can just throw it in ANY CAS.





BTW TMCF can have 2^24 values actually. For CAS3 and CAS2 just one value will work which is in dump that must match key.
For CAS3+ it will accept 2^20 different values. (not 2^18).
So YES, it is true with right Crytpo Low, Hi Data I can give you 2^20 TMCF (3 byte tuples) that if you write to key, then CAS will accept them and turn ignition on and be seen as the same key number.

Willing to prove my theory as follows:
Send me cas3+ dump, and Hitag ID of 2 pcf7936 chips.
I will generate 2 cas3+ dumps, feed them to your 'key maker' to generate 2 keys, both will be the same key number (for example Key number 3) in cas.
The two keys that you make will both be accepted by Cas3+ as Key number 3. They will both turn ignition ON, but none will turn engine on (unless I'm lucky as it is a 2 in 2^20 chance).
Ofcourse I will not change TCMF data in your CAS dump for ANY Key. Just put different KeyID for the 2 different chips.


If you know what SOPT does, you will see there is nothing to 'exploit'. BMW is using the Drunken Monkey kungfu technique here.

Provide me cas3+ dump and I shall provide you with proof of concept.

Again and again and again....I have provided my eeprom and flash dumps, you are welcome to use the most elite tool that flashes cas with any vulnerability/exploit/backdoor/DDOS/r00tsh3ll and give me a working key (prove your concept).


And by the way, the site that posted a 'special CAS firmware' is just a normal BMW firmware no. 9237046 nothing at all special about it. To buy some time :) So user thinks it's his fault he didn't update firmware correctly, they then ask you to buy their 'special XprogM'....buying more time and earning more $$ selling clone XprogMs....They then specified that they can generate keys for specific DMEs only...which is 'Method Number 1' I mentioned in previous post.

I only bought this tool to make CAS3+ when all keys lost.
I have said many times in this thread that I can make key with tools not exceeding $75 (including SOPT CAS if 1 Key is working).
Your tool DOES NOT DO THE JOB it claimed it does. Your updates are not fixing this flaw, and I've lost all hope once I started analysing CAS3+ and realizing you have no clue what you're doing because your tool does not query DME which is a MUST for CAS3+.

For the $800 I wasted I could have bought TWO Fully functional ICOM Clones, or 12 units of Fgtech v52, or 16 XprogM.

I don't know the firmware version of your CAS.
But I have tested both files on a live car here (with different KeyIDs, same TMCF) and they both got Ignition ON, and both read actual key in car is key= number 3.

The CAS I tested on has firmware:
ID_BMW_NR = 9237047

I am not selling a product, but I believe in LIVE TESTS before opening one's mouth and making hypothetical claims.

If this fails for any reason with you, please flash your cas with 92347047 or 92347046.

I believe the instructions are crystal clear.
"6f e1 f2 17-Load in KeyMaker .bin" is to be loaded in KeyMaker software.

Depending on the software you use, if it considers the ten CAS keys are from 0 to 9, then tell your software you want to make Key2
If software considers the 10 CAS keys 1 to 10 then tell your software to make Key3

The goal is to make KeyMaker write TMCF = 70 94 5C to Chip.

Keymaker software will then modify CAS dump and ask you to save it and write to CAS. Just throw that file away and write this file to CAS:
"6f e1 f2 17-Write 2 CAS .bin" <-- this file has no modifications to any TMCF value of your original CAS dump, just included your chip's Hitag2 ID.

Same applies to second chip.

Q: I got "Host not found error" / "Socket error" when update.
A: If you got "Host not found error" or "Socket error" error when you update, it's because your DNS server can't resolve our server domain.
You can try this:
1. Open command windows ( StartMenu -> Run -> type "cmd" -> OK )
2. Type "ipconfig /flushdns" to flush dns resolver cache
3. Type "ping xhorse.gicp.net" to check connection to server.

Q: I updated 70% / xx% then got "update failed" error
A: This may:
1. Connection to server temporary interrupted
2. Device does not response
