Esitronic has the wrong text, at least for VAG. It's not a generic trouble code in EOBD/OBD2.
VAG lists it as: Linear Oxygen sensor Exhaust bank 4 / pump current, short to ground
I doubt you have this problem, so I have to doubt the number of the code. What are you using to read it?

who is wrong and who is right!!!
i had solved all the problemes for this car,and tomorrow i will flash the ecu with egr desactived file to solve this probleme and tuning of corse

P1588 - 17996 - Engine mount solenoid valves (N144) / (N145), Open circuit
P1495 - 17903 - Switch-Over Valve for EGR Cooler (N345), Open or Short to Ground
The P1588 makes sense to me. You had problems with the engine mount. Now where did that P3289 (i doubted so much) came from? Don't see it any more.
You never answered the question about the model year. Which model year is it?

hi oldford
it is audi A3 2.0TDI 140CV engine code BKD year 2003
today i have flashed the ECU with chiptuning file+EGR OFF
http://i43.servimg.com/u/f43/16/03/79/30/sans_t12.jpg
the result was wonderful,170CV confirmed
but ,i have always this DTC P1588 and we can resent always vibrations when driving

Just to make sure: I would try to read the codes with EOBD/OBD2. Even VCDS can do that for you. Maybe this model is allready EOBD compliant (assuming you're in Europe).
I am sorry, but I don't know where these solenoids are mounted.
Can't you follow the connection to the engine mount back to the solenoid?

and what do you think about dtc read by bosch kts (P1588)
i have only one DTC in ecu ,and i have only one probleme "vibrations" not at idle, only when driving

I use only VCDS to read errors. Too many times with other multi brands tool i have see wrong description.
I realy can't help for that. I would check first the ecu error and then the "vibrations". Maybe there is no conection to both, but the "book" said first the error.
if you can have a secure error code I will try to help!

Hello
1) This engine is BKD engine, not AZV. BKD is known as the most problematic 2.0 16V PD ever.
2) I strongly recommend to use VCDS for Diagnose and actuator test. KTS is not very reliable on VAG and often gives false reports.
3) There are several updates for this BKD engine. Several problems solved but also new bugs have followed.
The history is:
03G906016G_5184 (1037368156)
03G906016G_5334 (1037368508) <- this one you have
03G906016G_5705 (1037369819)
03G906016G_7641 (1037377215)
03G906016G_9884 (1037390996)
The update 5705 was released in 24/09/2004, the latest update 9884 was released in 22/09/2007
So the car you are working on has not been serviced for almost 8 years now, since there were several recalls!!!!
4) Result: I recommend you check the car carefully for any defects and do all the missing softwareupdates before you finish your work.
