Hey whats up everyone. Had a friend try and just read a 24c02 chip and couldnt get a good reading. For whatever reason when he powered it back up it shows all 999999 on the dash. Im assuming somehow he corrupted the eeprom. Would like to try and either put virgin bin on it and then change mileage, Or gonna just let him send it out for someone to just replace the 24c02 chip and reprogram it as im too busy these days.
Thanks

Loraider,
Are you sure this is a good dump? It's only 256 bytes? Does anyone else have any other 24c02 modena dumps they can post to compare it to or if you have any experience check out this dump and let me know if this is complete.
Thanks in Advance,

Yes, is a good dump. Is from a cluster I repaired some time ago. The size is correct, but I don't remember its mileage.
Try this another one. Is from a Ferrari 360 Modena
(340 km/h, 10000 rpm) - Km. 25048
Cluster label:
FERRARI 131 190026
23/MC06.67/0 KmH C Eur
60.5296.990.4

Arthur,
Thank you very much. I will let you know the specs tomorrow if the dash isnt fixed yet. If you have some experience with these let me ask you a question. A friend of mine had a dash dropped off at his shop to be repaired, the PRD1234 and Display window was out, but odometer was displaying properly. Anyways he wanted to play around with my usaprog, hooked it up to get a read and for whatever reason just couldnt pull a reading from it. Read it at 3.41 volts, and I think he went maybe to 4.15 but no higher. After reconnecting to car, dash displayed ------- . I've never had this issue before and im sure he connected everything correct as he's not really a noob, so i was thinking to either try to just rewrite the eeprom or replace the 24c02 chip and then rewrite if the current chip is corrupted to the point where i cannot rewrite to it.

I always remove the chip for this car but having said that it is a known but not a common fault for the eeprom to go down. Normally it is possible to get a good dump from the eeprom but the car shows ------. You need the correct dump because all the spec of the car is displayed in the cluster ie. mph/kph, soft top warning display, auto gear display etc. Arthur.

Since the manual gearbox cluster still has the gear display window but remains blank, is it possible to program the cluster to display the gear rather than just taking up space?
