If you were asking me, the answer is "I don't know". lol The point is I'm sure I would need a DAS blacklist solution (at least) but I did not care to try the old solutions for this release. I thought it is better to wait for experts' advice. I have not even tried the new setup with a car yet (I could do it at home any time it makes sense).

In case anyone is interested, I finally tested this release with a car. Unlike someone suggested (not in this thread), this release too needs a DAS blacklist fix but fortunately the same approach as for the previous release works.

Fix for communication error is only Cal_Real.dll .

Cal_Real.dll is valid for 03.2012.

It quickly shows the das screen but then no action anymore. The only process which keeps running is jqs.exe (java process). Someone got a clue?

if you have COMPACT4 only then AppID is 252

if you have COMPACT2 only then AppID is 250

or when if you have COMPACT4 and COMPACT2 then AppID is 250

I have same question,
I have 9-2011 that work perfect, but now I'm trying to do a fresh install 3-2012 (with new hdd installed)
I followed many guides and many fixes (but I thing they have missing steps)..
Will be better a unique BEST and complete solution with all steps and all fixes for fresh install into real pc (not vm).

I'm trying skdrasher+newguide2h + other tricks founded here, but it seems not perfect, I dont know why...
for example when setup das: how many times the system reboot? 2 or 3 or?
in my case I need run setup manually every reboot, is it normal???

Yes you have to run the Setup.exe manual, it starts not every time after reboot...

I have a strange problem after installing the new SD 03.2012...

Installation worked just fine, but after everything is on the PC
and works i have also installed VCDS.
Installation was no problem but after i tried to execute the program, nothing happens. No error or anything.

I tried also to change some setting in the registry, they would just not be saved...

Did MB build some new security in the new version, VCDS worked on 09.2011 without problems and registry changes also.

Someone with the same problem?

Have you installed all C4 specific drivers already? If yes, why not install Star software like for a standard laptop, following the instructions from the forum.

I assume you don't have any original, valid licence for DAS & Xentry for that tablet? In this case you should not even try to make it 100% the same as the original SW. You would still get the same features.

Using the normal laptop instal WIFI not works and many connection problems whit the SD.
I hawe try the das&xentry keys and work whit Compact4 no problem. I hawe help some one ho is working at MB and works on the tablet whell. So I dont think there can be any problem working.

There is something wrong with your ordinary laptop if it did not work well with the SDconnect mux over WLAN. So many others are using this combination without problems.

I think Problem is solved.
I hawe get another C4 and make a full Image of the Hdd and put it on my Hdd.
Windows strats,wis working,SD media ok,Xentry give error but I think HW-ID hawe change since is another Tablet.Now I whil try to generate a new key for Xentry and try to update.

I am updating from 3/11 to 3/12. I have skdrasher+newguide2h but have not been able to download the video (download site is not allowed in some countries). I would have thought an update would be easy, but I am having a problem with the Xentry StartKey. Although saved, it goes away when the update is attemped. The message is that there is no valid authorization found for Xentry (AppId=252). I see no other reference to this problem on the DK. Help!

You did not care to mention if you ticked the licence file to read only? What happens when you try to save the key after the setup has deleted and swapped this commonlic file?

Perhaps something did not install properly from the 2h tool, did you follow its progress?

You could also try another installation method if nobody can help you with your current problem.

Good for westcoastdodge! It seems that a complete reinstallation using the correct updated tools should almost aways work. But, there should be a simple solution to westcoastdodge's original problem: the saved Xentry StartKey goes away when trying to install Xentry (or update Xentry from an older version). If anyone ever comes up with a solution, they should post it for us all too see. I am sure that westcoastdodge is not the only one that had this problem.

You do not need the timeout fix if you have just installed DAS and Xentry and have not changed the PC time.

Your fix anyway is too old for this release, easy to figure out if you look at the fix and your folders on your Star computer.

PS. would be useful to have pictures from your mux board, experts can give better help and other forum members can figure out which type are most often getting broken.

I installed using with the SDconnect (C4) through the network cable.... working fine, but I have no internet... Wireless connection show it is excellent, but I can not go into the browser, and I can not open the teamviewer....
I saw the chinese 03-2012 installation,,, those option is open.
Something missing in my installation.

MUX Might be ok! I have same result with poor cables. Tryed other cables and then Ceasar went trough just like should ;)

Try the modified 05/2012 DAS32R2.EXe file that appears to work with 07/2012 too. You should find it from the forum.

Wrong thread but you probably did not have Xentry installed at all. See how your F:\Programme\Xentry\bin folder looks like.

You could try to install Xentry only from the xentry_frame folder, if needed, change your STARDIAGNOSE key and set the licence accordingly.

Hello again friends, I was able to fix the problem with the advice of the colleage "umka" on the other forum.

You need do a little modificationi in the windows register:

"BASICXP" to "COMPACT4".
