I just noticed that a new version of FORScan is available: Download FORScan (http://www.forscan.org/download.html)

It now has support for canbus and works with elm-interface. It is still in beta status but maybe worth a try since ford diagnostic seems to be diffcult sometimes.

I tried ford galaxy MK2 and was not working ... but as that's actually a VW car with a ford badge.

I tried ford galaxy MK2 and was not working ... but I assume that car is too much VW parts, so that must be the reason.

Yes, mostly vw (like sharan or seat alhambra). Better to use vcds for this ford.

I tried on galaxy 2.0 petrol everything working abs.airbag and engine. On some mondeos and escorts pin 2 and 10 are rearranged on pin 3 and 11. You need some female obd socket to conect n these pins

Today tried Ford Fusion 1.4tdci. Pins on OBD socket , pin7 k line and 6,14 for CAN. Conecting all modules Airbag,PCM,General module, instrument cluster, but not ABS. Run PCM and Instrument cluster self test everthing OK, a lttle poor on PCM PIDs but important parameters are there like MAF injector difference..... Used ScanXL for ABS nothing, finaly my friend selected escort in menu and voala connection to ABS.Doesnt read fault codes but hit erase and the lamp did go off. Doesnt matter as long as dont lit.

It looks like fusion ABS is using Ford MS CAN protocol which is not supported by ELM interface. I hope this software will develop in a fiat ecu scan level.

The softwear it is under development.
And by the way the ELM327 it is a poor interface and I don't belive that you'll have coverage for all Ford controlers and models.
Better then nothing for hobby use.
Good luck

The ELM327 of course.
I sad that the softwear is under development and that ELM327 it is poor.
I said this to not dreaming.
It is good for hobby.
About the Ford VCM OBD, this is different.
It is a good tool but the chinese softwear it is too old.
And as I see no updates will be aviable soon or maybe never.
But the FoCom it is better.
Good luck

Tell me if your tool can do flashing?
They said that for this you need a new interface.
Well I will ask them next week but if you can tell if you know something?
Becasue if it's so I need to upgrade my tool.
Good luck

Here is the Focom software, maybe someone can make it work with elm interface

mattydr67

They said ELM327 but it is not.
The ELM327 interface has FTDI drivers and other firmwera
This has totally diffrent driver ( not FTDI ) and totally diffrent firmwear and other kind of PIC inside.
Two years ago I tried to amke an ELM327 to work with this but I cannot
Some one want to sell a softwear HICOM which he said that it's working with ELM327 for 75 euros.
I pretty sure that it was a cheater.
Good luck

The problem was confirmed for ABS module on the following vehciles: Ford Scorpio'94, Ford Explorer'96 and Ford Fiesta 2000, but may be applicable to other modules and models as well.
