Hi
I have a TM5042 with 80cm motorised dish on diesq 1.2, I managed to tune in all satellites I want including hotbird. However I can't get a signal on all transponders. I can get most sly italia channels and nova - sly sports 1, etc. but I can't get transponder 11843 v - sky cinema max, sly calcio 7 etc. I got these before same setup with openbox s11 but can't get them now. I am on hotbird and using 'move fine' but no joy.
Any ideas please??
Thanks

check on kingofsat all channels on all sats for all info and recent movement.

Hi. Have you tried a Blind scan on Hotbird? This will give you an idea if your channels exist or not or if you are properly aligned to Hotbird. With blind scan i get around 75 transponders. CINEMA MAX frequency is 12035V s/r 30000. SKy CALCIO 7 frequency is 12073V s/r 30000. Regards.

Hi. Good news. Remember always do a blind scan on any satellite. Not only will it tell if your dish is aligned properly or not but it will give you an up to date list of TP's/channels. I do blind scans on all satellites once a month. I recommend that before you do a blind scan always delete all current TP's and let the blind scan insert new and up to date TP's.
Regards.

Be very careful with blindscan depending on which satellite you are scanning say 7? west for instance could in theory i have seen it happen also pick up the far stronger transponders on 8? west, The same goes for 26? east with 28.2? east.
I am not saying dont do it just be wise to the fact that you could pick up stronger TP's from an adjacent satellite.

Hi digicon. I have picked up the wrong satellitest many times in the past. This is why i say that with blind scan you can tell if you are aligned to a particular satellite or not by the channels you tune in. The worst satellites are 9, 10, 13 east, 19.2, 23.5, 26 and 28.2 east. Problem is not only are they next to each other but have similar TP's. I have done many a blind scan on 19.2 but found i was actually on 28.2. Another problem is if you have a very sensitive tuner/LNB it will easily pick up stronger TP's from next door satellites. I am a sucker for blind scans especially when you find hidden gems. As you know channels come and go on a daily basis and rather than keeping looking at Kingofsat or Lyngsat etc i find it quicker and more accurate to do blind scans. Take care.

Hi. I know you cannot do this in my TM5400 SUPER. You can delete all channels at once but not TP's as far as i know. In theory you could do it by deleting the satellite and re-adding it but you need to know what you're doing. At least by spending a bit of time you delete unwanted TP's and keep your receiver tidy and up to date. Regards.

deleting the sat and re adding does not remove the TPs but you will need to rescan to get it to show with the sat button.

If you do blind scan on many sat. you will fill the maximum number of channels allowed which is 10 000, I had this problem on my TM5402 HD and therefore stopped doing blind scan.

HI Adam. Take your point regarding number of channels, this is why i always advise to delete the TP's before doing a blind scan.
