W203 Rear Sam

Hi Guys

i have a 2002 W203 Merc

with no volts being supplied to fuel pump.

fuse and relay are ok..But no volts out of sam..
no dtc in rear sam.

209 545 01 01
HW 2802 SW 3601

is there anyway of fixing these units or is it a new part ??

Sorry, going to have to be a little vague.

YUCK the relay out, proble the relay holder, see if you can work out which it has lost - 85,86,30,87

then cut and paste external relay to work fuel pump, scratch the casing, tell costmer you tried to fix, but had to put externa;l realay on it.

Done it foew times before on DIFFERENT cars, never a merc

Had a bit of result with this today..
whilst installing the MHH recommended sam bypass..
it was noticed that although relay was energizing no current was passing through relay.....
so 1 new relay later and all fixed.......:top::top:

So you didn't use the M-H-M method of swapping the whatever relay for the horn relay, charge the costomer for it, then send them on their way, then charge them again next week when it comes back for a dead horn?

So, can you just clafity the situation for other members who have this problem and find this thread in a later life.

1) The SAM - Signal Aqusion Module - receives a DIDGITAL data signal
which it uses to process this into

2) ANALOGUE signal? or Didgital signal - fuel pump - on or off?

3) Then this 'bi lingual' signal goes to a FRIGGIN relay that's properbly
made in China - but the relay was invented in 18?? by the VICTORAN SAMUAL MORSE.

4) So the above mentioned DIDGITAL signal - is dit dit dit, dob dob dob, bit bit - bit like the friggin VICTORAIN SAMUAL MORSE CODE?
