RCD510 Initial VW logo

Hi all,

I am trying to figure out how to change the initial VW logo to one of my own...any one tried it be4 ?

If you write Skoda bolero eeprom dump Skoda will logo.

send me your picture (in 800x480 PNG) i make you boot iso.

Just write iso on dvd-rw
reboot your radio with a 3 key combo (eject-mic-setup)
image wil be loaded.

We are working on a free online iso creator. (working offline now, just converting it to a website)
go to web page. upload your 800x480 bmp and click create iso.
you will get iso file.
for free and easy.

works the same way.
i have it in the 2011 polo from my wife.

rcd510 is blaupunkt/bosch, rns510 is siemens/vdo.
if you are going to share firmware update for rcd510 then esteem for you.

pavelpervomaysk - but will the code remain the same?
i did put the RCD510 in a Seat car and logo change by itself to Seat logo. put it back in VW change it back to VW.
but i will try it anyway and update.

Ok, here is what i found today :

on original RCD510 (5K0035190A) dump Address 21B = 00
2BB = 00
35B = 00
then if on address 27D6 :
00 - will show VW logo
02 - will show Seat logo

if Address 21B = 10
2BB = 10
35B = 10
or Address 21B = 20
2BB = 20
35B = 20
will show Skoda logo BUT with wrong colors like in other picture.

if i leave it with wrong colors skoda logo, and replace complete TFT panel module (4 screws and remove the panel) and place TFT module from Skoda Blaupunkt RCD510 (3T0035156B looks similar to VW RCD but have TIM button) - the logo image is OK.

any thoughts anyone ?

Just go to this web page...

Select model of RNS you have and the logo you want and create iso file.
Burn it and use it in your unit...

Use DVD media if you get Software loading error...
When I used CD sometimes I got issues that were fixed when I burned logo images to DVD's...

Record dump from Skoda Bolero, then change the field
0xAE0-AE3 ; code
0xB40-B57 ; counter and chechsum

Field 0xB00-B03 & 0xB20-B203 change is not necessarily

Your ogig code and counter remain the same.

Im sorry, i think there some misunderstanding here .... i have RCD510 (not RNS510) with Bosch label and p/n 5K0 035 190A.
it does not have the Mic button so to go into update mode maybe its by other buttons combination.
i also have an original RCD510 made by blaupunkt with p/n 3T0035156B which do show skoda logo but when i put its entire eeprom into Bosch RCD, the image looks with wrong colors. - i found which bits (i wrote it above) control the logo image so i took original Bosch RCD eeprom and change this bit to skoda - then i have correct code with skoda logo but wrong colors/

pavelpervomaysk - thank you again, but im not trying to do anything with the code. i know the code and i just wish to replace the logo image to Skoda (either by a logo file i have or with the one already inside the RCD).

any ideas anyone?
