I went to make a spare key for a 2008 fiat bravo today, took sip22 key blank, an ID48 megamos chip etc.
BUT, to my suprise, the key had ID46 pcf7946 inside!
What equipment can deal with this system, is pincode needed?
Thanks for any info, regards ninja

Bravo 2008+ , BSI Magneti Marelli , inside SSOP 95160 .
You can use Tmpro or Tango and prepare transponder ready to start car , no need pin code .

Are you sure?? I see with ssop 8 95160 is id48.
I had a 2011 relay van today, same key, took key apart and got id46 pcf7946 on board.
With this type of key, there must be a obd solution, just not sure what tool can cope with this, any idea's?

Any one lucky enough to have an unused fiat or citoen relay remote key to read virgin file from pcf7946?
thanks in advance, ninja

no obd solution unless the new nasratech announcement isn't bullsh*te about having the software ready which they said would be ready ages ago - they say its in testing so probably no where near ready or a big lie.

AAhhhh!!!
Module 112 ey! I see it says pcf7936 (for id46) it also says need to program to car - so what equipment can do this?
Maybe a job for sierra for his EFfi project!!
fiat 500 key is same, ducatto, relay, bravo etc etc.
I can get my hands on a complete ecu set and key if anyone fancies giving me a hand to find pincode from dump.
Easy to replace pcf7946 in key, just need a new virgin one to copy the were away!!!!!!

its not a virgin dump its id46 with precoded data.
also not a lot programs the key once precoded, so either need a tool that will precode and add the key to the dump to save programming like id48

I know this, but it should be the same proccess as all other keys with pcf7946 - precoded with the correct data for that specific vehicle - hence I need to read a virgin key to obtain said data.
Not seen anything that can precode a pcg7946 ready to start the car??? allways via obd and pin code, but not seen or dealt with this system on a fiat before hence all the questions.
Thanks for your input. ninja

its not like most other id46 where you can program with pin or prepare the key for fiat then code with the pin.
its setup with precoded data specific to that 1 car just like the id48 is setup, so you'd need to know what bytes are needed and where they go in the key, I think you'd also need bytes for the remote too.
I believe tango and a few others now will code your key from dump then give you a modifed dump to write back to the bsi to save the need for obd matching just like most tools can do this with id48.

On original zed-Bull this is covered by module-98.
The software will add the remote key to the file ready to start the car.

I see module 98 - but it has no option for key to dump - this is why I am a little confused with this one, as dont think you can just write data to a pcf7946 and it will work, if thats the case, why is the chip on the used key 'locked'? Surely it would be readable??
AND I STILL WANT A VIRGIN KEY READING!!!!!

your not getting it!! THERE IS NO SUCH THING ;)
you only order keys from fiat who write all the precoded data the key it will be locked ready for matching via obd with pin

the data is written and switched to cypher byphase which locks the chip only the correct password for this car will allow you to read it tm pro makes the key ready to programme diag 7936 and 7946. zed bull does the remote aswell but can create a image file, tango will add a pcf7936 and 7946 but doesnt precode the remote part so it starts the car but doesnt work the remote

Thanks for the info guys, I hate fiats even more now than yesterdaty.
Keygargoil: Are you sure zedbull precodes pcf7946 correctly for remote operation? All models use same remote coding? (relay, bravo , 500 etc?) If same, can anyone post the remote pages of 7946?

First of all the remote pages depends the remote pin numbers. (10-16 or 8)
Normally you can make a working key with any HITAg programmer when you know the correct data (from the eeprom dump), but it's not public (yet)
You will need a tmpro2, miraclone, abrites, or ioterminal +hitag programmer
