Need help with scn coding for this vehicle. ME97 unit A 272 153 54 79 was replaced for a second hand unit. IC 95080 cloned.

Besides the 95080 it's there something else that need to be read/cloned? At this point my bdn100 isn't reliable. ...

hello,

you just need to virginise your replacement ecu and sync with mb star. swapping eeprom will not work.

I can do SCN string for you ECU, but it not help you.
If you need to replace ECU, simply post 2 dumps M95080 from original and used ECU.
I'll make correct dump for a second hand unit.

Original and second hand units should not have the same VIN.
Post 95080 from second hand unit without modifications, please

BTW I just find out that made a mistake on the description of the vehicle...it's a E350, not E550 as posted before. (customer just replaced badges)

How and with what to flash the replacement ECU??

Where do you go to get the original ECU files and with what do you need to flash the ECU

There are 3 ways to replace one faulty ECU with another used ECU.

1. You can virginize ECU by program EEPROM/Flash or via CAN without opening.
Then you need to do initial startup with DAS.
2. You can transfer coding string and keys from original ECU to another used ECU
by program EEPROM/Flash.
3. You can make full clone using BDM programmer.

@ Room Thank You.... the vehicle start right away. The issue I have now is a Christmas tree in the dashboard. Lot of lights.

It might be because the ECU doesn't have exact part numbers as the original, but it is compatible with the same car. I have another ECU matching numbers.. so I will give a try.

I have one delphi ecu A 646 150 49 72.and I change org ecu with secon hand ecu change eeprom m95080.car run but stay error code inlet motor or something.I know before with org all was ok!!!I demage ecu during read by bdm.what is solution for fix error I can post mem dump and error code but without use bdm!!!!!!!!!!?this car not have that motor I follow xantry to check wiring and not have that conection under disel filter.did I need scn code or!!!? Hi Room, thx for explaining this, one question, after viginizing a ME9.7 eeprom of an identical backup ECU, do we need to do SCN coding or would it be enough do an intial startup with an offline Star?
