Hi Guys

Extra help please for aged new owner. So I've read the Noobs guide, hopefully downloaded the latest phantom patch and addon, installed it OK (I think); done the 8281 on a channel but still no hidden (CAS/BISS?) menu which I thought I should have happened. Any more help for dummies much appreciated.

Cheers

The CAS/BISS menu is on 8280 or take the long route as suggested by mdt

Thanks all for the replies. However pressing IP does n't do anything. Menu then system information gives me the same info when I got the box i.e. S/W vesion 1.00 and H/W 1.00. I had uploaded (I thought )the software 1.01 from Technomate as a trial before the phantom patch but that did not show on the system info either. Nothing with 8280 as well. Does it look my STBs have not uploaded do you think? What should the CAS/BISS menu look like by the way? I take it there should be something come up to enter BISS keys.

Thanks again

If pressing ip has done nothing then you haven't installed the addon. Not sure if the biss key menu is included with addon or phantom patch because I installed both at the same time. I'm sure someone will be along with the correct answer for you.

Thanks again. The files were Phantompatch-TM5402HDCI_ALL_128p_11-03-2013.stb and ADDON_002p. I pressed the blue button and the progress bar went to successful so should that have been OK do you know? What would pressing IP give me?

Cheers.

Wrong phantom patch that is for the original 5402 you need to use the patch for the m2. Sorry can't find a link to the download Centre on my phone but there is only one for the m2 and this will be why the addon isn't installing as it will only show up if running phantom not original firmware. Pressing ip will bring up a hidden menu when addon is installed correctly. This is used to enter other details that can't be spoken about.

I am extremely surprised that the M2 version even tried to load the Non M2 version software it should have warned you about a file mismatch.

Anyway M2 version patch can be found here: Download center (http://download.for-better.biz/bbs/reply.php?board=tm5402hd&num=24) remember to choose the M2 102p version

And the ADDON for the Cams part is here: Download center (http://download.for-better.biz/bbs/reply.php?board=tm5402hd&num=4) this works on both M2 and Non M2

How did you install them?? Proper procedure is factory reset install phantom patch, factory reset install addon, factory reset install channel list

If you did patch the Box to check have a look at the system information page in the menu and it should detail it as 102p if not then you did not patch the receiver

Thanks again. I'll try the reset procedure. The system information still details the original software. Also I keep getting extra .stb files on my memory stick after attempting uploading the patches. Weird or what?

I have an earlier Technomate and in order to transfer files from the USB stick you just highlight them and press "OK" on the remote control.

Not weird if you are loading patches using coloured buttons because that is to download box software to usb stick. To upload to box you just click on the file in the list. I think you need to read the install by usb part from again http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=41685 I know you have said you have read it or you could try this one
http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=1075849 but just use the correct patch and addon which you already have.
