FG Tech Galleto V53 Installation error

Hi all,
I get this message when trying to install FGTech Galleto V53 on Windows XP Pro SP3,Dell Latitude D520,CPU Intel Core T5500,1,66GHz,0,99GB RAM.
Some guys says work but with Windows darklite SP2.
Any help is welcome.212768

It must be installed in windows xp system
Some customers have problem with FGTECH software running, we advice you better choose FGTECH Galletto V53 Plus DELL D630 (http://www.eobd2.com/wholesale/fgtech-galletto-v53-plus-dell-d630-1gb-laptop-with-80gb-hard-disk.html), because fgtech v53 can work well with Dell D630.

Attention: It is very important, please change your computer time to 2013.01.01 first ,then copy the software from cd to your computer desktop! Your computer must do not have old FGTECH software, it is very important.

Thanks for quick answer.System is Windows XP,computer time was changed,not a big difference between Dell D520 and D630.I tried to install on two different Laptop(D520) and also on a brand new Desktop,same error mesage,all three with XP PRO SP3.
Do I need really the old SP2???

Hi there, I have the same problem and I solve it by change the language in the control panel. See picture212946Put the date 1/1/2013
install language asiatic not single language ( see attachment )
make sure that the file exists in the folder eobd2.cfg
rewrite fg fix
and open EOBD2.exe

when you say file exists in folder "Which File ?" what file should be in which folder ?
having a few issues with a install for someone else, there seems to be 2 vaious install methods for V53,
coming from china,

this was readme on the version i cant get working, yet also has a sticker saying dont update which contradicts the install procedure, see below,

WINDOWS 2000 WITH SERVICE PACK 4/5

WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL WITH SERVICE PACK 3 EXPLORER 7

WINDOWS VISTA ALL VERSION 32 64 bit

WINDOWS 7 ALL VERSION 32 64 bit

ATTENTION THE DATE OF YOUR PC MUST BE CORRECT OTHERWISE IL

DISABLE ALL THE ANTIVIRUS AND FIREWAALL ON YOUR PC


IF IT IS FIRST TIME YOU USE THIS NEW TYPE OF SOFTWARE INSTALLATION YOU MUST
REMOVE AND DELETE ALL OLD EOBD2 VERSIONS FROM PC

CREATE 1 NEW FOLDER < DOWNLOAD_UPDATE> ON THE DESKTOP AND COPY INSIDE THE
FILE FGTech_DOWNLOAD_UPDATE.exe and SETUP.EXE


1) Launch the file > setup.exe

If software is not installed on your PC jump to point 2.

If software is just installed on your PC jump you will see a windows whit a 3
possible choice .
Select the second one < REPAIR > for files update.

2) In the choice of the directory is not worthwhile choose C:\programs\FGTech ,
is worthwhile install it out from programs: example C:\FGTech

The installation creates the directory and install the files of program.
(With VISTA in case of error in .dll file select ignore)

3) FOR INSTALL EOBD2 DRIVERS: CONNECT THE INTERFACE USB TO PC, TAKE DRIVERS
USB INSIDE THE DIRECTORY: FGTech\FGTech_New_DRIVER.
ATTENTION: IF YOU DON***8217;T TAKE THESE DRIVERS EOBD2 DOESN'T WORK.
SOMETIME A SECOND ADDRESS TO THE FOLDER DRIVER FGTech\FGTech_New_DRIVER\i386
IS NECESSARY FOR THE FILE .sys

4) DISABLE ALL THE SCREEN SAVER, STANDBY AND THE HARD DISK MUST BE
ALWAYS ACTIVE, COMBINATION PROCESSOR ENERGY MUST BE ALWAYS ACTIVE.

IT IS RECOMMENDED TO COPY FOLDER DOWNLOAD_UPDATE ON DESKTOP FOR DOWNLOADING
THERE UPDATE FILES.


5) Restart your computer .

CLOSING OR ACTIVE FIREWALL, LAUNCH THE SOFTWARE "FGTech_DOWNLOAD_UPDATE.exe"
IT ARE INSIDE THE FOLDER (FGtech/ DOWNLOAD_UPDATE)

3) FIRST CLICK ON "RENEWAL" AND WAIT, THEN ON "DOWNLOAD" THE
PROGRAM NOW DOWNLOAD THE FILES.

4) WAIT THAT APPEAR WRITING "installation completed".


5) LAUNCH FILE >SETUP.EXE , YOU WILL SEE A WINDOWS WITH 3 POSSIBLE CHOICE.
SELECT THE SECOND OPTION < REPAIR > FOR FILES UPDATE.

No,same error.problem was solved by a interfaces "guru" ,he rewrote the interface chip with a repair software,(thanks again Mister Dudescu).Now everything is fine, the interface works well
