ok. here is a tip. if your gettin different reads all the time with SPC560P50L3.
make sure that all pins are clean, no pin should be dirty. make sure you remove all of the coating from chip and legs or pins.

i could read and verify any part of the chip.. the problem i have is when i write. verify gets errors all the time. i have zero success writing to data flash.

that picture is not the correct to read it in circuit..check documents,,, that write UART in circuit only...

I figured out how to read and write to SRS Module 2013 Honda Accord with SPC560P50L3, Back PinOuts.
If you want the password for accord pinouts, all you have to do is press the thanks button, and the like button, very easy for something i work hard to find out..
works great already fix 3 modules.

I know this are virgin files been put into the air bag module! I was able to write the file and it said successfull with ETL
but when put back into car I get no communication, and I'm not sure if it is the module or my scanner that does not goes to 2013.
What are you using to scan the cars? Any help will be appreciated.
I have another module for 2013 accord also, but I wont do it until I'm sure the first module is good!

the only way to read SRS dtc's 2013 Honda Accord, is with Honda MVCI original. no calibration needed.
i dont have any scan to with the new protocol system. if you're using the ETL programmer it should be good. they sell good products. if light is on then there is something wrong with car. like a short or something .. not the module.

where did you get your virgin dump from??
ETL programmer does everything for you. no need for virgin dump.

did you take to dealer or customer say he take to dealer.???
i have had a lot of customers that lie, they say they take the car to dealer , dealer tells customer that module is bad, i put my scan tool its a short in seat belt. or something simple. bottom line is customers lie. do you trust customer?? do you think you did everything right to program the SPC560P50L3???
if your sure you did everything right. dont doubt yourself.

Anybody else in here has the clear dump for 2013 Honda Accord 77960-T2A-A013-M4 with SPC560P50L3 MCU
and be able to help a soul in need. The dump from ETL, for some reason is not working for me. I need the clear dump for comparison more than anything. If this thread was made to help each other than I need your help.

i get read errors on any module i connect to it.. i try five different modules. three accords, and 2 altimas , all get the same read errors.. does anyone know what is up??

anybody??? i thought this thread was for help and support. SMOK is very very slow to reply. I don't think the diagrams are correct for read /write of h8sx. I should have purchased another brand . Seems ETL has loads of info and good support.

I have contacted smok early today and they said that this mc08az60 with mask 4j74y can be a problem...

Also I have tested two types of jtag from smok(with an adapter and without) and still the same...

I added 2 more options with upgrade, that's why they didn't charge me for new device, but i had to send the old one back. You wont notice any deference besides you don't have to use adopter for HC08 mcu with new jtag

I have read many HC12 and ST12 with smok, without any problem. Check connections, don't forget that have 2 diferents EZS with HC12

Sorry I don't have the module anymore and didn't take a picture. It was connected just like in the picture of Smok manual. Do you think a bad connection will cause the programmer not to write a small block of the memory and not others?

anastudio is correct. i try and write dump for renesas h8sx 1725 flash + eprom-nocrypto using smok and now module shows no communications.

I bought smok last year and used a few time with no problem.

But now I'm having very hard time with this SPC560. I read this exact same module and chip of a different job before with no problem but this time no lock.
It won't even identify the MCU.

I used a jtag test utility. Both "test out" and "test in" had errors. RxTx Loop test resulted in Error but sometimes ok. "test 121v" usually resulted in "Ok 9.3". few times error.

Is this bad smok interface or my USB isn't providing good power????

Contact mirek in smok.pl he usually answer back to you they are very slow but comes back to you. Whats wrong with yours because they are loads of us using it so maybe someone is able to help you.

I am trying to Read a W211, see attached. The case shows 209 on it.

When selected MC9S12 EE SEC, I get cannot verify ID, check connections. As you can see the connections are right.

When selected MC68HC912Dx128A EE SEC, it gets stuck at Unsecuring.

I know the USB plays an important role, I tried Abrites USB and 2 others. Can you advise where the problem might be.

That feels like a chinese tool. We all know cheap chinese tools are hit or miss. I expected smok to be much better for the higher price and functions should work if it's there. Or at least they should tell us that it's buggy or doesn't work well.

This way we don't waste DAYS and DAYS looking for our mistakes that don't even exist.

I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED with smok. At least in this case.

Support is still bad. How about charging for priority support? People who already bought the tool don't have any option because we can't return it. At least offer paid support. PLEASE.

I've bought smok jtag for nec v850 and I can't read 70F3624 psa airbag.
Soldered like in example but it does not work. Double checked soldering points.
Tried tracing solering points from MCU and it seems to be ok.
So where could be a problem? Maybe I sould solder something out/short/lift pin/etc???

Yes, I already posted in this thread.

Basically smok is very bad with spc. I think it's not regulating the power or voltage properly. Support is no help.
Use UPA and you'll be much happier :)

Amazing how poor the support is from Carprotool & Smok. So bad their users need to ask for help here.
My Carprotool hit the bin a while back, as for Smok, if it works great, but contacting them when it don't is a waste of time..

As for Smok Jtag the .exe is removed as a virius after first software lauch :(

Jtag - MAC7242 write problem

I have an SRS from KIA VENGA here that has an internal error. Inside is the MAC7242 MCU. I loaded Flasch, eepromflasch and shadow. As I want to write new content flasch and eepromflasch, jtag displays erase, erase ok, write, write ok. But during verification, I have some areas incorrectly listed. Bottle and eepromflach. I still have the original Shadow, I didn't rewrite it. I'm doing something wrong? There is still the option for Jtag MCU MAC7242 only read All memory and erase all memory. Should I have erased all block memory? Will I then be able to program flasch, eepromflasch and shadow regularly?

i have jtag a long time and have a lot of problem reading any mcu like mac, spc, rh850 many thimes verification data was different as read at first time. I found what is wrong on vcc (red cable) i try put two diodes to make voltage lower c.a. 3.5v and this operation caused that reading, programing, as same after verification.
