i found this NANO or Micro eeprom 93c66 in new cars 2013
one of them is Toyota Aygo avgust 2013 , dash is have c66...but its very very small eeprom
very hard to make soldering directly on pins, its not soic pins
did exist the plastic clips for pins for 8 legs?
also i was found in one usa car 2013 , but can not post info for this now
its in underconstruction in one tacho firma

Remove it (very simple) and put it in a tssop zif socket. Buy on ebay. See the photo of my zif adapter, tssop, soic and dil. Arthur.

We have been seeing this tssop on newer Toyota (Aqua) and Honda (Fit Hybrid), before only option was to desolder or solder to points.
Now, we made a tssop clip, and read write in seconds :)

Digimile whatever size the chips are, 93cxx, ground is pin 5. 24cxx and 25/95xxx ground is pin 4. If you can't see a pin 1 spot, just meter the pins for continuity with a ground plane. Arthur.

Claudio your adapter is for a soic chip. A tssop chip is half that size! Arthur.

arthur, they come off easy enough or they like them tiny little resistors i used to have to remove on the A3's (2206/7) to read the pin/key with DP3 ? or is it just going to be easier to use kynar? I've not come across one yet so i don't know what there like really! i work in the back of my van so if there dead small ill just use kynar with them? any info appreciated, someone should make a clip everyone would buy 1

Bench magnifier, pair of the Soldermans no.3 tweezers, Pyropen or similar and they are off in 5 seconds. Far easier to remove than a soic but they are small, 1/2 the size of a soic. I would never use kynar or microhooks but if you haven't got a zif socket for them, I would think microhooks the next best answer. Arthur.

It must go to the ophthalmologist, is TSSOP, in circuit reads and writes better than a clip 3m or pomona 100% well, Just put the soic to compare the size, and how it works

Zif socket= this is expensive, has to desoldering tweezers, put in and then ruin pin ZIF. Mine is very easy to use

Claudio, The prices I charge enable me to buy zif sockets, tweezers, (not desoldering tweezers), pyropens, bench magnifiers and all the other tools I use. I have a micro milling machine which I use to make pogo pin probes extremely accurately (to 0.01mm) but having removed many of these eeproms and programmed them all in a zif socket with 100% success, I see no value in me making a probe for a tssop eeprom. I notice your probe has pogo pins for pins 1-4 with pin 5, (ground on a 93cxx device) and pin 8, +5volt connected by what looks like a type of microhook. How does it work for a 24cxxx and 25/95xxx which have ground on pin 4? Arthur.

Hi Arthur, This works only 93xxx example honda. I still do not see vehicles with 95xxx 24Cxxx TSSOP, I have no precision tools.

To SOIC8 have "clip" to 24Cxxx and 25/95xxx, work equally

Claudio, many airbag ecu's have 95xxx in tssop package. I have not seen 24cxxx yet but obviously the zif socket will work for all types. Arthur.

I'll find a solution for the 95xxx and 25xxx, but I have not yet seen these Epprom. Arrived that day. Your solution is good but I live in South America. Do you understand?, Necessity is the mother of science. I have homemade only:smile:

I have seen most jap models with this small eeprom and 5 mins of tracing or working out where the pins go and then solding onto the pads or links works for me no Zif sockets needed for me plus no damaging eeprom

Small EEPROM in Japanese Cars (Toyota/Nissan/Honda) have variant:
1. SOIC-8
2. TSSOP-8
3. MSOP-8

The printout is the same as the bigger brothers same chip just different footprint. No big deal I read them without removing sometimes I use micrograbbers. Most times I use my custom adapters for them all. Easy as using a caliper. Good luck guys.

Just use micro EZ-Hooks. Buy six of them and you are ready to go. Google EZ-Hooks and find X2015.
260966
You can program in-circuit without removing TSSOP chips with these hooks.
Good luck

Hello guys. I really need your help. I came across to this tiny eeprom on a Toyota Auris 2017 Japan Import. Trying to solder straight on the eeprom i accidently destroyed it.
Where can i find to buy this eeprom? I found some on ebay but there are different models with different specs. Can anyone advice?

Will that be ok? : 93C66A-I / MS MEMORIA EEPROM Microwire 512x8bit 4.5÷5.5V 2MHz MSOP8
Unfortunately i don't have the dump file neither an identical odometer to take that dump file.
I have a Toyota Auris 2016 dump file. I tried the odometer of the 2016 on the 2017 model and it works. Do you think that if i use the 2016 model dump file on the 2017 will be ok?
Thanks in advance.

bro its trial and error
i dont get this 2017 so i cant give you perfect answer,
if there is no change in vehicle and odometer it may be work perfectly..
best of luck just try it
bcoz you dont have original dump thats why no other option, or you can arrange the same model vehicle and save data and use it in this vehicle
