I just did the update of My 5.0 interface. Pretty much what You do here is updating 5.0 Interface with all new files taken from 5.4.5 software. Worked like a charm for me for EEprom AT25640

Users of another forum say ALL Motorola work fine. I did not check that yet . Worked for me with EEprom AT25640

updating only files, updates lists and so on, but FW is same, so no auth23-24 support, and so, newer motorola, MAC, and so on, will not work, it will say HW not support it, if you try to read :) but if there is additional old 9s12 that does not need auth23-24 it will work :)

Yes , use flux paste .It is not hard at all if you have experience with soldering.

From your image, it's correct. If your Xprog was working before I think you don't need to change any part just check all soldering completely!
Anyway the program alone without HW must start normally, check installation again.

Yes, from that guy. He send me modded program files, but i don't know is it full or do i need paste it to where, what version.

The soldering is very poor and your wondering why it doesn't work, look on youtube how to solder or get someone who can solder do this for you, if you dont solder the chip in good your asking for problems when trying to use the xprog

Thanks, i try to fix when got solder paste. One member says, software should work without HW, so.... I have tried clean OS, but still new installing says "there is another allready installed...." I have clean from registry by manual "xprog" and "DB Software" Still there is some part some needs removed.

I made clean OS installation. Now xprog 5.0 software starting w/o HW. Then i deleted 5.0.exe and copy and replace files when copying.

Why delete only .exe, modded files replace that too, as i seen correctly. I have done also like you says, but nothing different.

I don't understand. I installing v5.0 and then replace all with modded files. After try to start program, but fail. Is my v5.0 bad or whats going on.

Should modded files .exe(5.45) start its own folder, is that full software? My doesn't, same error comes than when replace originals and starting.

No, not using any antivirus software. But i know(maybe) what is problem. Program(xprog) needs acrobat reader to working good. And that i haven't, i use another software.

Hi, I reflashed my Xprog-M 5.0 to 5.48 with full auth., but when I try to read something, I got that message "The certificate has expired or is not validated. Do you want to update it now?" And when I confirm, I got "Certificate is not yet generated. Please be patient and try again later." I tried later, and later and it's always the same. Could anybody help me to solve it?

I know this gent Serg2000, he is doing business in other forums. He found a way to use native/original software with XPROG and has copied firmware from CPU. He can generate a license for you, so your XPROG will be fully functional, close to original and dongle free. I was considering to buy his solution since I could not find a reliable source otherwise... Any offers and/or help will be noted and appreciated. I am still looking to get a decent XPROG tool for occasional use.
If you must know, just do not buy it from Best quality Auto diagnostic tool e-shop,Auto diagnos-tool for America auto, Newest version,Obdii (http://www.auobd2.com) source, because this guys are stiff and waste of your time...

There were some dumps of 5.48 china dongle version floating around that looked good but noone got it working because of the dongle protection.
But still, please do share them. Maybe someone will be able to remove the dongle protection from the loader (or do a new loader). Thanks in advance!

Hi all, there are many opinions regarding the update of this developer. I expose my problem is somewhat different.
Buy Xprog-m, almost 1 year ago (1 month), I did never work, but that was always leia 0%. I realized I had bought the version 5.3 and 4.x was soft (above was a Chinese).
Finding and proving, put the version 5.3 and now 5.45, how amazing USB, lets update the box. Now with version 5.45 asks me to login box, which gives me the # 14391 error, and can not find the hardware id register.
Try to return to the original version does not work (these either), as well as the 5.0 and do not let me update back again. Dongle came with the original box, but no longer does anything.
Does anyone know how to get out of this step?

Fatal Error #14391 mean that the ATmega64 in the xprog is not secured (lock bits LB1, LB2 is not programmed) so hardware registration in this case impossible.
Only way is use any ATmega64 programmer, write lock bits LB1, LB2 and retry xprog registration.

Got 5.50 working The flash was good and eeprom. Dongle emulator ripped from china's. First key was for 5.48 but next day got the 5.50 and all secured worked. All 9XXX12's worked. Only did it because got 5.3 working my self long time ago and tried to do it again and failed. Did not know dongle was added thought it did not work because micro reading was mucked overthinking can jam you up sometimes. Gotta keep it simple stupid. Trying another in 2 to 3 days as long as it work 100 percent will post flash and micro has to be locked or soft starts with a error. Beats buying the atmel on ebay for 70 bucks US or 80 to 120 for a new one.
