PCF7953 is Hitag-Pro used in newest BMW F-serie and Range Rover Smart Card .

these transponders are not easy to configure if you purchased blank ..

If I replace the PCF7945 can I code key and remote with Hitag2 programmer?

Hm, this venture seems difficult as going to the moon, but nobody can stop you to try. But be aware that producer (in this case Philips/NXP) spent lot of money on security development and chinese as most famous cloners in the world on the other side spend also lot of money on cracking originals. Sometimes they succeed sometimes not, but for sure they return their investment by mass production, how will you?

No, BMW 7945 is preprogrammed on NXP factory. New 7945 will not work.

there is no way to do these, pcf7945 are just like pcf7941 and have a risc processor controlling the remote part from a program in eprom.

only pcf7946/47 can be precoded via hitag as they used a fixed circuit to do the remote and use the remote pages in the transponder in the calculation of the remote

well its pretty obvious if you can get a new programmed chip it would work. but how much they want as the chinese keys aren't that expensive and you haven't got to mess around and also get a new case

I got the keys as a bulk for a bargain, they ask abit more than usual transponder, but I still fit in the price lower than chinese key.And it is original key after all, much better build quality.

is this the comfort access key? I believe the only chinese ones I've seen must be put into the ignition slot, hopefully someone can prove me wrong

Care to share the source for the BMW pre-programmed chips?

There are 35 dollar keys which are ignition slot ones, and then there are 135 dollar ones which are keyless go.
Yes ofcourse,as soon as I test them, they say they work,I will put them to the test.

Sorry m8....not true.... not if you are using an OEM PCB. Maybe you get can the transponder to start the car but remote 100000% no.

here is a summary for those are not clear

PCF7945 is not keylessGo - must put key in slot to start car.

PCF7953 is keylessGo.

You can use either key for the other....I.e. you can use PCF7953 for PCF7945 car, and you can use PCF7945 for PCF7953 car, but the prox will not work. Remote and transponder works though.

both keys look like this:

It is easy to see the difference - there is no battery slot on the back of the PCF7945 key. This is because this battery is charge in the ignition
There is battery slot on back of PCF7953 (prox), because the key never is in the ignition, it cannot charge....must use normal battery.
