Yes erase the chip before connecting the J-Link, connect carprog as described, connect the 12v and reprogram.
First run software J-Flash ARM V4.26 and click:
file -> open project -> folder ProjectFiles ->select the file AT91SAM7S256.jflash (these are the suggested settings JLink for Mcu AT91SAM7S256).

Later click:

open data file (select the file with dump)

carprog must be connect to 12v,

click:

target -> connect -> program.

good luck

-pin55 from ARM- must lifted or not

pin 55 from ARM must lifted from pcb, after solder a smal wire on pin, give 3V about 10sec (for erase ARM),
after solder wire on gnd (pin 55 Always lifted from pcb) and start programing ARM.
easy job m8 :-)

helmi reguig (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/members/252253-helmi-reguig/) my friend, listen

Remove the AT88SC eeprom from the board
1. first you must erase Mcu on carprog how to do it:
-pick up and connect pin 55 Mcu to Vdd on carprog and connect car prog to 12v for 5 seconds (Mcu will be cleared)
and remove the pin 55 wire from vcc. The pin 55 must remain disconnected until the programming process is done.
2. connect carprog to jlink:
carprog ---------------- jlink
tdi --------------------- pin 5
tdo -------------------- pin 13
tms -------------------- pin 7
tck -------------------- pin 9
gnd ------------------- pin 20
nrst ------------------- pin 15
3. connect carprog to 12v and jlink to usb
4.reprogram Mcu using the J-Flash ARM software, how to do it:
