I have a 2012 plate Polo that had stolen ecu. The car was brought to me by other shop and already had abs coding 000000000000000....

I managed to adapt neu ECU but the ABS is driving me nuts.
I found a guide on a dutch forum ( https://www.mypolo.nl/xenforo/threads/6r-abs-vcds-coding-bosch-esp8-2i-english.11914/ ) but I do not manage to pull it through. Always code rejected.

Hi friends, i need long coding or maybe not need. Situation is next. Car is Polo, original ABS modul is 6R0 907 379 AB, long coding is 200200E3007400B2042700E200D800000000, VIN is WVWZZZ6RZAY070207. Modul is defect. Replacement module is 6R0 907 379 and is come with long coding 000000000000000000000000000000000000. When i tried to enter original coding from old module with VCDS, module not accepted, get message not accepted or something like that. After couple times trying and give ignition on and off, sudenly module accept new coding but still stay coding 000000000000000000000000000000000000.

I changed the clusters because I had a short on the motherboard and the sand I was giving the right signalling was blinking in the board at a lower intensity and the left signalling, and when the bulb was lit to the diesel, it started to lower the light bulb at a low intensity oil led.

I have a Polo 6R and recently changed the cluster and ECU as mine were faulty.
Keys all coded and car runs perfectly but the ABS light is flashing in the cluster.
Diagnostics says the ABS controller is not coded.
The coding is all "0000000000000000000000000"s
I believe this happens because it sees a new VIN number in the cluster.
Could someone please provide me with a new long code for my ABS controller.

Details are as follows:

156mm discs in front and drums at the rear

I really don't wann be the "madass" here. But this is important for every future request, too, if people are expecting help.

You are asking for an ABS coding. The information you are handing out in expectation to get a proper coding on an modified vehicle (cluster and VIN different) is:

- VIN (written down, not possible to identify if it is current VIN, or VIN from label or whatever cars VIN)
- Part Number from cluster (wtf?), not from ABS.
- No information about the vehicle itself (Engine, brakes, additional functions that are brake related like TPMS, hill hold,... whatsoever)

But you expect to get a coding. That is absolutely worthless information to recreate a coding. Sorry.

Friends, it just does not work like that. If you have a VCDS scan or similar, post the identification here copy pasted/not written down. And post the most significant information about the vehicle, basic information. Sure, it might need more depending on software that you have on your abs. But the basics are always the same.

So please. If you expect to get help, follow these simple advices. :)

- lhd/rhd

The vin type you posted is unusual together in a car like that together with this abs part number. Did you change the cluster and together with the cluster the vin? Meaning, is the vin still original or not?

//edit: ok funny, I just saw you requested a coding more than half a year ago for the same vin and abs setup. was helping there back in the days. can't remember the case but probably was not able to solve this. and now that I see it again I can tell you why: this setup cannot be coded. You seem to have a cluster and vin from a skoda rapid, but an abs from skoda fabia. you said abs was changed, so if car is a rapid and cluster and vin is original, then the abs is wrong. You have to mount correct abs unit.

Can you confirm it is a rapid?

It seems you won't get around changing the abs unit. This abs unit cannot be coded inside this car as it does not work together with this vin and it also is not supposed to be in this car.

Check your PM. I have send you something. If that does not work, ODIS online will also not work and that is 100% prove something is wrong with your car. Either VIN is wrong or ABS part number (software) is wrong. But try what I send you there is a high chance it hits the point.

And what is the vin of the other car? does it also have NA in the middle if you read with diagnostic?

Post the coding, or even better, the scan from the other car. You cannot copy it over but it can be modified to be accepted by your car.

See, another hint that something is wrong with the car setup. If you now check the vin from the other car you were talking about that has 6rf907379 abs software number, and it does *not* have type NA in the vin, it is the final proof the car setup here is somehow wrong and this abs cannot be coded with this vin. You can try odis but i guess it is another waste of time,..

Can you confirm the other rapid you mentioned earlier does not have vin type NA?

You don't need a login to write the coding, and it doesn't matter if engine is running or not. But ignition (terminal 15) has to be switched on. And everything has to be fine with cluster.

More of a problem is, that all the codings you got provided here in the thread a just wrong. That's why you will not be successful. But check your PM box, the proper coding is in there. Have a good day, you're welcome.

It was about 6R0 907 370 S in particular. It's ABS only for russian and india market, super low-style variant. That has nothing but two information about vehicle type in it and one optional setting in it, which is always set the same.

You mean AB hardware, as that is what the guys are discussing about behind your link? Anyways - since coding is related to software, which is 6R0 907 379 S it doesn't matter which hardware it is on and it does not contain any of the features you mentioned in coding. It basically only has vehicle check and three settings - because it is ABS only and super low low low low budget. There is nothing else to change settings in. You need engine torque settings for traction control - this software only supports ABS, no traction control, so no settings for that. Neither does it have pressure sensor settings, as this sensor is for hydraulic brake booster feature. It doesn't have that either. It ends up, that apart from the vehicle check, this coding is basically always constant and you will only find it in super low budget markets.

So I was not quite sure if you been talking about software "S" or similar software that has these features...

Yes, you are absolutely right, that "S" ABS 8.2 firmware does not care about brakes sizes, sensor/drivetrain config and have no options. I did not even know they are existing. Till today :)

This case is similar to somewhere you offer someone to activate corner brake control or something, where that feature does not even exist in the unit. :trytofly: Instead your turned off/on a different feature you were pointing on with that bit you told that member to set optional. Which makes the car set a mismatch dtc or make the corresponding feature not working... :-/

If it originally had BK part number ending for the ABS system, then AP is more or less a downgrade. But doesn't mean it's inoperable with the car.

Biggest problem here is, that the coding doesn't fit. Coding is not ok, it is different than the vehicle settings.

When came to car Autel couldnt connect to abs .
After that tried odis online it tried but couldnt do it.
Now autel can comunicate with car but not accepting code from Esp Calculator

Your codings are incompatible and wrong for the vehicle. There is no need to flash something. Just get proper coding matching the car.
