2004 Nissan Almera 1.5
Had no issue with engine power, only revs were a bit high and I was told to clean the throttle body and now the car has no power, I was reading on car faults code that I may need to calibrate the throttle body, can some one help me how this can be done?
Appreciate your help.

If using a scan tool you can access through "Work Support"
If no scan tool see below.
Steps 1 & 2 generally not required.
1. Perform EC-47, "Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning" .
2. Perform EC-47, "Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning" .
3. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
4. Check that all items listed under the topic PREPARATION (previously mentioned) are in good order.
5. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
6. Confirm that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch ON and wait 3 seconds.
7. Repeat the following procedure quickly five times within 5 seconds.
a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal.
b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.
8. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 20 seconds until the MIL stops
blinking and turned ON.
9. Fully release the accelerator pedal within 3 seconds after the MIL turned ON.
10. Start engine and let it idle.
11. Wait 20 seconds.
12. Rev up the engine two or three times and make sure that idle speed and ignition timing are within the
specifications.
13. If idle speed and ignition timing are not within the specification, Idle Air Volume Learning will not be carried
out successfully. In this case, find the cause of the incident by referring to the Diagnostic Procedure below.
ITEM SPECIFICATION
Idle speed M/T: 700?50 rpm
A/T: 700?50 rpm (in P or N position)
Ignition timing M/T: 15?2? BTDC
A/T: 15?2? BTDC (in P or N position)
MBIB0238E
ITEM SPECIFICATION
Idle speed M/T: 700?50 rpm
A/T: 700?50 rpm (in P or N position)
Ignition timing M/T: 15?2? BTDC
A/T: 15?2? BTDC (in P or N position)
If idle air volume learning cannot be performed successfully, proceed as follows:
1. Check that throttle valve is fully closed.
2. Check PCV valve operation.
3. Check that downstream of throttle valve is free from air leakage.
4. When the above three items check out OK, engine component parts and their installation condition
are questionable. Check and eliminate the cause of the incident.
It is useful to perform EC-129, "TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS - SPECIFICATION VALUE" .
5. If any of the following conditions occur after the engine has started, eliminate the cause of the
incident and perform Idle air volume learning all over again:
– Engine stalls.
– Erroneous idle.

Thanks lads this is the fault code I am having: P1121 –ETC ACTR.
Connected my OBD tool to "Work Support" opened " Idle Air Volume Learn" and let the ECU connected all done car runs fine but when I switched off engine and start again no power on acceleration, is there some thing I have to save before switching off engine??? Please help I have a nasty customer….. doing my head.

DTC P1121 ELECTRIC THROTTLE CONTROL ACTUATOR PFP:16119
Component Description UBS002XS
Electric throttle control actuator consists of throttle control motor, throttle position sensor, etc.
The throttle control motor is operated by the ECM and it opens and closes the throttle valve.
The throttle position sensor detects the throttle valve position, and the opening and closing speed of the throttle
valve and feeds the voltage signals to the ECM. The ECM judges the current opening angle of the throttle
valve from these signals and the ECM controls the throttle control motor to make the throttle valve opening
angle properly in response to driving condition.
On Board Diagnosis Logic UBS002XT
These self-diagnoses have the one trip detection logic.
FAIL-SAFE MODE
When the malfunction is detected, ECM enters fail-safe mode and the MIL lights up.
DTC Confirmation Procedure UBS00CVM
NOTE:
Perform PROCEDURE FOR MALFUNCTION A AND B first. If the DTC cannot be confirmed, perform
PROCEDURE FOR MALFUNCTION C.
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always turn ignition switch OFF and wait
at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.
PROCEDURE FOR MALFUNCTION A AND B
With CONSULT-II
1. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 1 second.
2. Select “DATA MONITOR” mode with CONSULT-II.
3. Shift selector lever to D position (A/T) or 1st position (M/T), and
wait at least 3 seconds.
4. Shift selector lever to P position (A/T) or Neutral position (M/T).
5. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
6. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 1 second.
7. Shift selector lever to D position (A/T) or 1st position (M/T), and
wait at least 3 seconds.
8. Shift selector lever to P position (A/T) or Neutral position (M/T).
9. Turn ignition switch OFF, wait at least 10 seconds, and then turn
ON.
10. If DTC is detected, go to EC-360, "Diagnostic Procedure" .
With GST
Follow the procedure “With CONSULT-II” above.
DTC No. Trouble diagnosis name DTC detecting condition Possible cause

Electric throttle control
actuator
A)
Electric throttle control actuator does not function
properly due to the return spring malfunction.
Electric throttle control actuator
B)
Throttle valve opening angle in fail-safe mode is
not in specified range.
C) ECM detects the throttle valve is stuck open.
Detected items Engine operating condition in fail-safe mode
Malfunction A
ECM controls the electric throttle actuator by regulating the throttle opening around the idle position. The
engine speed will not rise more than 2,000 rpm.
Malfunction B ECM controls the electric throttle control actuator by regulating the throttle opening to 20 degrees or less.
Malfunction C
While the vehicle is driving, it slows down gradually by fuel cut. After the vehicle stops, the engine stalls.
The engine can restart in N or P position, and engine speed will not exceed 1,000 rpm or more.

Glad you got the customer out of your hair.
Sorry for slow response but I'm on the other side of the clock to you.
FYI.....Sometimes (mainly Rav4's) you can't do the air relearn when the engine is rev-ing to high at idle so I found that pulling of the Brake booster hose about 5mm makes the engine lean out and slows the engine down enough to let the "air volume relearn" proceede.

this car is easy to work with carmanscan and work suport as you discover...on trotle body there is pipe for heating and sometimes water/antifrezee make some way to inside idle step motor..so check this before any work suport...if you ignore it in most cases will be burned chip inside ecu for controling this steper...dont know exact name of part but I hae them on stock..you can buy it uk in company name litle diode...thats my all experience with nisans..soled few of them with same problem as described
