This procedure details how to change the Injection Pump on 2.5l V6 TDI Engine in VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda vehicles with Immobilizer III.

Contents [hide]
1 Determining VIN & IMMO-ID
1.1 Engine Control Unit (ECU)
2 Injection Pump Swapping
Determining VIN & IMMO-ID

Engine Control Unit (ECU)
[Select]
[01 - Engine]
Look at the first "Extra" field. The first 17-digit string is the VIN. The second 14-digit string in the Immo-ID.
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]
---OR---
[Select]
[01 - Engine]
[Meas. Blocks - 08]
Select Block 081.
[Go!]
The first 17-digit string is the VIN. The second 14-digit string in the Immo-ID..
[Done, Go Back]
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]

Injection Pump Swapping

Prerequisites:
The NEW Injection Pump is installed in the car.
Battery voltage at least 12.5 V.
Make sure to have the Immobilizer PIN, for the Engine Control Unit (ECU).

[Select]
[01 - Engine]

[Login - 11]
4-digit PIN
The PIN needs to be entered as 5-digit number. For example, if your PIN is 1234, enter 01234.
[Do it!]

[Adaptation - 10]
Enter 050 in "Channel Number".
[Read]
4-digit PIN
The PIN needs to be entered as 5-digit number. For example, if your PIN is 1234, enter 01234.
[Save]
[Done, Go Back]
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]

Switch OFF the ignition and let the car sit for ~1 minute, then switch ON the ignition again.
Start the Engine to verify the adaptation was successful.

In this case, PIN code I can read via VCDS, or You can read from my dump?

vcds can't read pin code.
you can read pin code from ecu with simple kkl interface, search on dk.
or maybe read 24c04 from ecu and post here.

yes m8, but effi is from zedbul and no easy way to run this software.. If You have another - please help, I try to find some solution of zedbul software open.. Anyway - thanks You electrones (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/member.php/299784-electrones), you are good man!

OK. I test PIN from You electrones (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/member.php/299784-electrones), and entered - vcds didn't report any error. But - pump module didn't adopted with new PIN. So I checked DTC and supprised - no communication with pump module and no signal (immobiliser blocked also of course). It was after reconnect such chip-box (HOPA DIVO VP44). And I haven't then this chipbox in workshop (bring it to home before) and similar fails was in orginal pump module (which was before in car and was changed). So therefore immo not adopted I think - no ack or another request from pump module and without succes.

Anyway, I found effi and put my dump there and... PIN is different! Why?

Hi friend

I understand your EFfi need register, if is not registered not calculate correct code.
Your pump is new from dealer or second hand !!????
If is second hand, you will need pin code from old car to adaptation of your fuel pump.

Yes, I do not doubt the truth mates. But the guy who change only pump module could buy somewhere and determine this PIN from that car is impossible I think... So I'll try use remove immo.

Anyway, is such solution to determine any information from gel-coated module? I've never seen there any so8 package IC...

Many Thanks You guys for help!

pump are the same number as the 'old' one?
because if is not then you can't match immo.
old pin are not needed.
you have no comm on it because:
pump module are broken or,
pump are not compatible.
when you try to match immo be sure thre are min.12,5v on it.

pump remained ori, only "up" is swapped - pump module. And is such as need. I think he put broken module, if plug conector, pump strange buzzes.. Such blocked adjuster like want to achieve position but it can't.. Or is another damage.. Will se soon. Immo off solution I have ready, but I think good pump module will solve adaptation problem.

You can read pin from the second hand pump connecting directly to the pump (not via OBD) let you use some device like carprog

1pin CAN-L , 2 - CAN-H , 5 - Shutoff signal , 6 - Earth , 7 - Power supply, term.15 , 8 - RPM signal , 9 - K-Line

Greate, I have carprog. So I'll try to connect, but I have to discover which adapter I should to use.

Hi. I tried to connect pump module direct in to diagnostic tool by KTS550, but without succes. I connect only 12V power suply, ground and K-line. Connection on benchmark, without car. Is it possible? Mayby also L-line is needed? Please help me, customer want to his module, but I don't know what's happend with them.

for reading PSG5 on bench you need only power and K-line so your module is dead...

WinWoj
10th March, 2015, 07:28 PM
I tested 4 PSG5's and when I powered them no current flows... I put 12V on 7th and ground on 6th pin and K-line I conected on 9th pin, as Art64 said... I know that one of them is good, so maybe i should energize another pins..?

There are 3 generations of pSG5 pumps in the Audi A6, if you have control of pumps with other numbers that will not work. Only the first generation of the pump did not have immo, 2 and 3 must be coded pin and can not be installed on other nembers pumps because it will not fit into the ECU .

What if i make immo off in ECU? I think PSG5 immo-coded should talk with ECU and give permission for start? By the way I have 4 PSG5 modules and want to check it. One of them has only transistor leg broken, but should be alive after suplied +12V... But no any working.. So maybe I should test with CAN data bus? I don't uynderstand why power suply mashine didn't show any current flow after connect to PSG5 modules... But maybe CAN activate PSG5??? I can use EDC15VM+ from a6 c5 and connect CAN lines to PSG5 and try to activate actuators (shut off valve and injection advance valve) via VCDS?? Any idea and expirience with this? What about Carprog solution of immo read from PSG5? Has anybody know how to do it? I didn't find such info in my carprog clone documentation..

Thanks in advance for answers my questions.. I'm really determine to run this car...

Best Regards
