ford focus 2006 remote fob wont program !

hi guys
my friend brought her focus 2006 round as it forgot its remote fob

so i tried to program it in the way you do
flick pos 2 to 1 4 x
and wait for been and then press unlock
when i do the flicking it beeps at me ready for remote but when i press the remote it does a long beep at me and does not fire the central locking !

anyone any ideas why it would do this ?

the car works n drives fine as it is
just will not let me program the remote fob !!

i also have a KD900 and i tried to program one my my remotes to it
and it gives me the beep also ?!?!

any help here greatly appreciated

In this car remote should program:
-Switch on, off four times fast. (car beep)
-press remote unlock button
-switch on, switch off and wait few seconds and test remote.

This procedure should work


Test remote battery charge and test frequncy of remote

battery is new
and frequesncy is spot on
it just beeps at me when i try to add remote :S

in the car,, turn on and and off ignition 8 times ,, eighth time locks will work and car will beep press hold lock/unlock button on remote,, should work

Disconnect battery, and/or pig piss in the passenger side fusebox.

Some base model Focus 2's wont learn a remote. They just come with regular key. (usually ex police ones)
Solution is a GEM module from Ghia or similar.

Had one where the poxy wireless/hands free key was 'wiping' the receiver

Had a focus with a remote not working. I found a setting somewhere using ids which in which the rf remote receiver was disabled. Long time a go now can't remember the details but switched back on and remote programmed in loverly

I think the setting depends on whether it has a door control unit or not, but if you go to progammable module reprogramking or whatever, then door control module, check the setting for remote receiver & change if required.

Might be getting mixed up with transvestite in roof lining one foot, 12" or 30 cm 300mm something like receiver for remote. Start at interior mirror work backwards

On wrong iShit but got photo of inside bcm, don't remember seeing receiver
