Yes... I have many times & after done flashing you would have to replace HC125 to HC125M as marked in step 4..Other wise it will never actually write to anything.

CarProg 8.21 included with lib, exe, firmware with no activation needed. Extract 4 zip and then open zip file and extract.

This will reset Carprog 4.01 counter to Zero... THIS IS ONLY FOR CARPROG 4.01, WONT WORK ON 4.74.

Strange, why HC125 have to be replaced with HC125M, it seems there is no difference in the IC`s!

Good to hear...Remember if it doesn't write then replace chip to HC125M.. If I recall correctly, it will say write successfully but it wont actually write data..

Yes its called the countdown and yes..Same way you upgrade 4.01 to 4.47, its the same exact procedure to reset the counter.

You talking about the dash right.. you have to use the A1+ adapter and A21 VOLVO CAN, its not the same as A1 cable.

no was for xc60 airbag, but they confirmed today with me that is was mistakenly put on there so they will take it off soon. luckily support was very helpful and did not have issues with refunding me the money for the upgrade since it is false advertised.

Oh the usb reset...Been a while since i used that...If I recall correctly you replace lib file with one in d/l folder unlockok.exe and go to internet update and that shold be it.

Aliexpress or ebay...they are all the same quality and there is 2 version 4.01 and 4.74. Version 4.01 older but can do a lot more programming before counter reset.

i use a clone with codecard repair kit and original a1 cable, i can connect and read opel edc16 can, so i think that can line work ok, but i can't connect on bench with delco mt35e ecu, tried several times, also with 12+ external carprog supply

hello buddy, finally my carprog works, can now pull pincode from CAN ecu..

I have one more issue and that is with EDC16 , Bosch EDC16C9,

what happens is that, after i read the ecu and display the pincode,

now when i click on Reset ECU,

the pincode does not changed to xxxx, it is still the pincode inside, even though i off the ecu for some time and reconnect and read , i still see pincode, please what can i do for EDC16 ecu's in other to get the pincode reset. thank you

B1416 Control Unit Bad ---Not good code to have :-). mostly caused by wrong clear.
B0591 - Rear Collision

Edit..They Finally listen and add the description in CP..Don't need this anymore. I will update the list if I find more unknown codes and try to make it more accurate.

Hey guys, I have the v07.28 version from china (clone) I'm trying to clear crash on Ford Fiesta with Infineon XC2361. This version said that I need to activate this feature "Ford 2009+ airbag sensors with MAC and Infineon processors programming by OBDII". Is there a way to get this for this clone version. I have the A1 and C1 adapters but the software is not there.

looking at pic bellow this the only dif from original and clone is that the chineese have used a cable with more wires
thats why they are not connected inside

If that is firmware 4.01 then the firmware you uploaded (AT91SAM7s256 for v8) is familiar to firmware 4.74.

Yea I think it is ver 4.47 cause the firmware is familiar with the one he uploaded. SN is easy to change but changing it wont make a difference.

Do not waste your time. Dump is old one, with serial changed. On the other hand carprog unpacked is working very good with the new dump. All functions are active.

That's cause you just have to remove the at88sc and not do anything else to it, until you finish programming mpu and then put it back on board.

Only thing you suppose to do with at88c is to desolder and solder it back when reprogramming it back.don't try to read or write to it and it will be fine :-)

i know this, but i never remove it and neither do many others, i think the removal was originally mentioned just in case anything happened to it.
its been noted a few times that it dont need removing this is why im asking how does it get erased if only reprogramming the mcu, jtaging the mcu doesnt effect the at88c so how is it being erased ??

I think is done now. You should try it on with carprog software. Don't forget to place the right lib file on carprog folder.

problem is that im not really familiar with ARM so no idea how to enable JTAG (there is security bit setted by this firmware which disables JTAG)

if i manage to enable JTAG then i can download firmware after counter decreases and see exactly which part of memory is modified
then patching it to not decrease will be very easy to make

Wont gain much at all..but the timer will drop from 250 to 50 if I recall correctly...better off with 4.01

I don't think this one can be done with A17...it has a 24c01 inside...so pretty sure that u have to take it out and clear direct...these have a 50/50 chance of hardware failure too so even if its clear correctly then h.w might be faulty.

I have original CarProg for many years. The board is ...CAR002... and there is no repair info about it.
My problem is that i never got it to work with MCU Motorola, any Motorola either reading or writing. From the helpdesk at Codecard they offered me to send it back for checkup and repair if needed but i never had the time to send it as i use it in a daily basis for other work.
Anybody had a similar problem and have a solution for it?

As I was informed from Codecard the repair kit is not for units with serial number ...CAR002... like mine but only for ...CAR001... and ...CAR003...
As for the A9 test i should get one as i do not have it.

look at your serial and it will be for fw4.01

I just so happen to do a 15 ram with cp and rogue 2013+ using cp, the rogue is a lil tricky, got to write flash first then u can change miles after. You might want to check yr A1 cable.

hi guys, only joined this site today but read this thread from start to now. i have recently bought a cp clone from ebay and used it once or twice with limited success for instance cleared crash on a t5 airbag module fine but an 01 cleo airbag module would read but not find crash at all so had to save dump and clear with airbag service tool then write with car prog. i also tried to pull a sec pin from a 2006 diesel zafira over obd and it gave me a pin but was incorrect, had to remove eeprom and find it maually in the dump.

anyway my carprog was advertised as latest version 9.31 but i assume its just got crappy 4.01 fw but my clone does not have a counter so if it would be any good to someone wanting to remove counter i can upload. its marked as 081105CAR001773I.lib

i read theres a fw that is purchasable??? what one and how much is it? i have been on codecard and see that you can legitamise a clone now but i dont use it enough to justify 1000 on going that way but i would spend a bit of it if i could get a more upto date one than 4.7x

this version is really fw4.01
so software is only 9.31 and many things will not be activated
should still do opel pincodes ok but you will have to rework the unit

jtag can be done with 5 100ohm resistors and db25, just make sure wires are no longer than 10cm it will then be fine

Hi everyone carprog 8.21 clone will it read newer ford airbag modules through obd2 or on bench I try on bench it will connect but when it get to read it has communication error so my question is am I doing something wrong as im thinking it only works online thanks for any input

So carprog software 10.13 got some new changes but one big change is the removal of the eeprom tab when doing airbag/dash as its easier for me to load files or save direct.
Is this a issue for anyone else?

if its airbag you are talking about then no. cannot be done obd. module have to be out to read eeprom.

there is no fw flash for 5.31

only fw files available are fw4 (old sw4.01), fw for 4.74 (for sw 4.74) fw 8 (for sw 8.21)

I bought Carprog Clone with fw4.01.

Tests: A9 only - all ok
A9+D1 - no response from unit

Some functions work and some don't (24cxx and "no response from dash" errors). I read that if I upgrade at least to 4.47 it will work fine. Is that true?

I have one repair kit with HC125 to replace, but i don't know if it's needed since A9 test is all ok.

Looking for advices.. thanks

I just ordered a J-Link Programmer. I'll upgrade to fw8.21 and see what happens.

Hi all

I try to read mcu HC08 2J74Y (dashboard nissan terrano2) using carprog + A10. EEPROM i can read write OK, but the FLASH part no. Carprog make initialize boot loader and read nothing, when i try write, carprog say erase failed.
Can someone help me fixt this problem?

In codecard website you cay buy A20 adapter...and unsolder 2j74y...I did it with this solution and works well ;)445003 this is my clone ver 8.21 and he do 95% things ;)

Yes i know, but i think the problem is inside carprog. A20 adapter cant solve my problem.

Yes i change all 4 IC to 74HCT125D. But the capacitor and rezistor may be not. (SS14 is capacitor or diode?)

I dont know. I change for 74HCT125D, but motorola mcu and 24xx dont work. But i my case is another one problem.

Sorry not capacitor SS14 ONLY diode.after when you swap this diode you can do programing and other things without 12+ except motorola (when need 12+) I use HC125M from texas instruments and every carprog work great..do not use 125d!!! it is bad solution.. Yes i will do few pic PCB and I will share here ok? maybe today..
