OK I need the help of the locksmith experts here, story goes like this:
I have 2011 Mercedes W204, I fitted new EIS and new ESL. I was programming with dealer blue keys and got "initialising key" message on dash however the key then appeared to drop out. I tested key in another vehicle and turns out key is dead. Key could have been faulty all along however I originally tested it with another car and it read every time but it could have had an intermittent fault. Owner had made a mess of it trying to remove battery.
At this point I order new key from MB and this doesn't work in my car so I then get them to order the blue keys for EIS ESL coding and I try to code once again with now known good key. I was advised by MB tech to leave ESL unplugged and code EIS with blue key first and then plug in ESL and code with its blue key. They said they sometimes have problems with coding when coding two new units together.
This also failed to work and in fact first blue key flashed red light instead of coming on solid and going off. So as situation stands I am left with no ignition. So I clearly have a coding problem with either my new esl or eis or both. I am guessing I couldn't code it the second time was because the first key dropped out during partial programming. So i perhaps have a corrupt dump in one of the modules.
I need to try and get myself out of this sticky situation and I am wondering if there is any way I could use the eeprom data from my original esl and eis to write to my new/partially programmed eis and esl.
Sorry for the long read and I appreciate any help I can get, I know there are some good key guys on here so hopefully someone can help with this one.
Thanks in advance :tranquillity:
