Zann is right, there is only one serial eeprom and it is on the cd player board attached to the cd mech :distrust:

So maybe doubtful the code is in there. Unplug cd mech from mainboard and see if it still asks for code - I think it still will.

Please try an experiment, power the unit so it is saying "[-][-][-][-]" and now hold down the "Seek UP" button and the "Band" button at the same time for a few seconds, and tell what happens...........

Thank you gentlemen for your interest...
so...
is not eep for panel..
is not eep on pcb, except for ic302 micro smd(without marking).seems bound so ...pin 1 (out)/ pin 2 and3( together)/ pin4(gnd)/ pin5 (nc) / pin 6(out) /pin7(out) pin 8(+5v).
I tried to press together 'seek up' and 'band' disappear ---- and so....stay CODE and does nothing.
I think that eep is in processor....

Hi!

This is a DPX301 drawing, the EEPROM on the CD mechanics is IC9 position. BR24L02FV-W

Hmmmmmm....

Even the tuner can see SDA SCL lines, but there is no internal tuner in the drawing.
remember the Kenwood very very tiny 5-pin EEPROM capsule
