Hello
I was programming a spare non proximity remote key with pcf7941 today on a Chrysler 300c 3.0 deisal .
Skim part number 56040643AW was selected and Vin number shown was correct .Key programming went through as normal and it showed keys were succesfully programmed .Remotes worked so obviously keys were programmed
Problem i have now is that neither key start the vehicle and immobiliser light stays on solid .
I have run diagnostics with AVDI - GSCAN-MAXISYS and all show the following faults but dont seem like immobiliser faults
P2280 air flow restriction
P242F diesel particulate filter restriction
U0106 lost communication with glow plug module
Has anyone else come accross problems during key programming on these or know a cure to this immobiliser problem .
Much appreciated for any help given
Tony

I've made this car with MVP, two times without issues. I think the led is ON because need to close the process of learning. I propose to make power reset and repeat the key learning.

Hello
I did power reset for 2 hours , cleared faults and tried procedure again but still all same with no keys starting vehicle but remotes working .Steering lock also doesn't activate when turning key .I also have done these many times before with AVDI and no issues but unfortunately this time I've got issues .

did you use a car booster to maintain battery power during key programming i would also check all fuses plus earth on car as this can cause all sort of problems on new cars .

Hello
Yes a battery support unit was used and it was on flash programming so kept a stable power supply throughout the 60 seconds of key programming .Fuses were first thing i checked .
I have now noticed by diagnostics with Maxisys that the SKREEM is sending an " Engine Kill Command "
Does anyone know if theres a way to stop this signal being sent ?
I have AVDI - Maxisys - Gscan so hopefully they will do it but just would like procedure .
I thought maybe going under WCM and reprogramming WCM and ELV would do it but dont want to try unless advised to .
Cheers
Tony

when WCM command to kill engine, there is usually a fault related to that.
diagnosis would be a little more reliable with wi-tech instead of maxisys or avdi (which are not reliable tool for diagnostic).
I would usually check the basic on WCM (live data in WIN/WCM and in ECM+TIPM, original VIN and current VIN in both ECM and WIN).
yes WIN have many problem, but you cannot condamn it without proper testing.

twice I had to "flash" WIN because he lost his original or current VIN... nothing else worked, I used wi-tech with online connexion to flash unit. (with same part number, no update) but in both of those case it was for an ECM replacement with new one from dealer.

also, you never mentioned your model year.
and btw, with most tool, adding a key on those model is the easiest job and have no side effect. (but if you had a problem before, you just didn't fix it by adding a key)

Hello
it was 3.0 diesel and 56 plate chrysler 300c and car was running perfect untill added key with AVDI .Im on top support within 2 hours with AVDI during work hours but got email today saying development team are away untill Wednesday.Car was blocking drive so now recovered to dealers .Hopefully they wont hurt the pocket too much .

Come to think of it during diagnostics with Gscan i seen current vin shown and original vin not shown or vice versa so maybe thats the problem .

Hi,

I am having this same issue.

I programmed new key to 2005 3.5L 300c with bladed key today with AVDI. I had made keys to this car previously and used MVP all working well.

Today though after key coding with avdi key learning procedure all seemed to go well and after remotes worked but engine will not start and immo light is solid with programmed keys. I tried erasing all keys and relearning with same result.

The fault codes I got are in the picture attached. I’m not sure what the solution to my problem is, is there any info you can share about what was replaced to get the car running again?
