Any chance to read and write this eeprom area without dissembling the car and rollover controller?

I have same problem with an E93 after the battery drained and jump started I got "Restraint system faulty" on screen and airbag lamp illuminated at dashboard. With IMPA I see 9402 RollOverController - Internal Fault what I was unable to clear.

Recently I started having 9402 error code on my 2007 BMW 328i Convertible (E93). After scanning codes found out that ROC is the issue. I searched all over the place for this to fix and found another post from Vigilm (thank you for the post) with detailed instructions to remove seat and pull out ROC module. Now I'm trying to fix chip on this module numbered 95080W4.

I know I need to desolder the chip, get the memory dump and ask Dragon100 for help (Thank you sir for helping all of us)

As I haven't done this ever before - I need your help and guidance to find out what do I need in order to fix it. I researched quite a bit about CARPROG, XPROG software and hardware both however I'm very puzzeled what adapters I need, what OS I need if I need to go back to XP or Windows 10 would work. The more I research, the more I'm getting confused. I found this forum very useful and many of you have done this successfully with the help of Dragon100 .

1. What program I need to buy Carprog, Xprog? Which version would be economical and will work.
2. What hardware - I know XPROG and CARORG set but usually if you buy whole set is about $300plus more than I should be using for 8-pin chip 95080. What specific adaptor do I need.

I may be sounding a real newbie - sorry in advance!

Hi guys, I pretty much have the same problem as the rest of the guys. After messing with the battery I got 9402 code. I read what you guys are up to here and it seems it's something im very clueless about. I figured it involves desoldering a component from the controller and reading it and re-writing it? I am completely new to this,but I am ready to learn.
Could someone guide me what kinda hardware and software i need?

I cleared all my airbag codes and roc module codes doing this: *Airbags will not work after this. use for track cars only..

use pro tools or any coding tool.

Then disconnect your airbag module cables under centre consol(I also disconnected roc module too, may not be necessary). All your light will be gone now.

Yes, change eeprom, if after some time still again the same, change roc module ....

I have a 2007 BMW M6 convertible with a check engine light for the Roll Over Module. I have removed the module and connected it to an on board chip reader/writer. I found some software that is supposed to work and I guess I'm doing something wrong. Can I upload pictures here? I'm trying to save the data from the chip and have someone here look at it for me.
