Some times if it wont read, voltage can be too low, up the voltage abit

i find it a good little get out of jail tool helped me out a good few times , updates for the eprom side are slow but they get there in the end

Check your eeprom clip is connecting properly. I manage to read all in circuit fine

Never had issue with Leon 12-14 works perfect
Audi a4 2009 can be tricky if not been done before as CAN system goes to sleep. Keep heaters lights on and should go fine

Visteon never tried. Edc15 16 u r right poor coverage but people don't pay me enough to do them memories

never an issue reading epps, as correctors we should all know eprom specs and voltage tolerances , and voltage settings for on and offboard reading . i have never had an issue reading any type of eprom with smelecom i have both and handheld both read correct , and like J says can timeout happens you have to keep system awake common way is headlights. most errors with epp reading is due to bad clip or dirty surface( ie enamel or epoxy) clean wrk area correctly. happy programming.

I used to have few problems not initializing can on some Ford vehicle (MKZ, Fusion especially)
Had to sometimes not just turn lights on, but drive vehicle as it was trying to read.
But after I sent logs and recent updates it all works ok now.

that option is only a month old so impossible to have when the tool was purchased , maybe you think you saw or glitch and software audit fixed your free for a day option

Here is what I think happen..
They added it before and it didn't work Ver 2...How I know? cause just yesterday I tried ver1 and ver 2.. version 2 read ok but it wont write at all...
they fixed ver 2 recently and after I update my unit it is now red..and now they would want me to buy it.

I don't care what you say atm.. I know what I saw and I know I tried both version when it was black. don't work obd anyways...now they saying hey if you buy the option you still wont be able to do it w/o taking out bcm...makes no sense at all why any one would even buy the option to do obd when its not possible w/o talking out bcm... If we have to take out the bcm then might as well do direct onboard or mpu....THE END!.

Cas2 good by cas plug. Cas 3 some version by dash plug. Cas3+ by obd dont work

I was doing 2016 Ford F-150 with 4" display yesterday.
After reading it shows 0 for current mileage.
I updated miles to where I needed anyway and worked.
So just a FYI if you run into this issue.

Having a problem with DSP3. I updated software Friday and all was well. I turned on the unit Monday and all files were gone. Nothing in resident flash dir. I copied internet.exe to resident flash, however clicking and double clicking the file does not open anything. I think something with Windows crashed or was corrupted. I have two DSP units, the other one works fine so I know what I'm doing and am able to compare one to the other.

I can't find any type of CE recovery program and one DSP is CE5 and the other is CE6.

Anyone ever experience this?

Disconnect battery for 5 min for DTC erase and hours are usually not displayed on F-150, not any I have done. Usually reads it blank

Yes works fine there are 2 versions full colour screen like a7 and touareg and normal screen in a6 both versions work fine

2014 Ford F150 - Doesn't have 2014 year in DSP3+ menu. Tried with 2013 thru OBD2-can't read it. Chip is 24c16. Tried with all available years thru OBD2 and year 2010 can read it but can't write the new km.
Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.

You can buy original smelecom special edition package with same software and a few more cars then advertise on fvdiobd site for $650 plus postage, plus the original can be updated whereas the clone cannot

(i tried on 2 different cars. 1 gti and 1 gtd. there were not johnson control cluster.. both year 2013).

As you can see on the photo, it did read the old mileage correctly, but I couldn change it. anyone any idea? (i tried with ignition on, and also with engine running).

VW Sharan 2014 does not work by obd with a dsp3+, pre bin did not try. Also by obd does not work smok (original), carprog (original online), digiprog (clone). All these tools got and try in same time, just smok can read actual mileage. Maybe somebody try on that car pre bin mode?

Yes, I agree about update.
I honestly called my distributor and asked if company was in trouble. Usually updates are regular, and as for USA cars they usually ahead of everyone else or right there with them. But I have 2 US cars (2014) still can't do that my jprog competition is doing 🙁

Send log file to smelecom support on Monday they will tell you, did u try both versions of Polo nec35xx program

and with the first option it give this error.

I would hold on updating it or activate it for a few days or so...I open software and it said hit ok to update after software update, I hit the activate button and it went dead.
Took them about an hour trying different software and then they finally got it.. They wont say much, only bug in software.

China so they will get it around 7-8am yr time.. don't use emails, Just skype them..mutch faster

Smelecom always responds via Skype, but not with much information. Given, If you have a dump file, they can look at it or solve a technical issue, but If you have a specific vehicle question, you're out of luck. This forum (!) is far more educational and helpful in all vehicle matters. At one point, the former USA Smelecom representative, Kenneth Rose, claimed to offer additional support... that was a joke. I'm glad he's gone.
