Today the engineer from X-Tooltech and me run test on resetting immo. for all lost keys Toyota "h" key and Proxy USA. There tool has no opition to reset immo. It just support change to new immo. And then programming. So there was a obd2 cable with 3 plug in (PC, PS90, PVM)
PS90 recording in android os, PC recording in windows, PVM programming "Reset" function.
That data is then compared from Window to Android and is broken down to learn the command code.

Today we ran the PVM program with the computer and no car. So it was like connecting to the car but no car. These is where the break down to get the commands are done. After that we do it in android os, so there 2 os that the command can work under. (B5)

X-Tool by Obdstar is not the same as X-Tooltech maker of ps80/90 or x100 pad pro,x100 pad pro 2,ex400,ez500 these company has proven to come to the USA and work with me to improve there tool.

Soon the new tablet (X100 pro2) will be release to the Asian market. The USA version will be release by December (USA Pro1) today we add the qwick reset immo. Ford,mercury,Lincoln no 10minute wait. Toyota "G" & "H" all lost key reset will be tested in the a.m. Next to work on is Mazda 6 2016 system.

Today we test No waiting all lost keys on ford,mercury,Lincoln all pass 20 different cars and trucks. Next thing to add is parameter reset to marry all modules once something has been change. We recorded pats 5,6 next week will do the hec system.

Not a clone original that's there new pad, but people still what everything for nothing. The USA version will only work with USA region cars.

ford Fusion is working correctly but 2016 mustang and F150 failed to read rolling pin and bypass. They are trying to work it out, even thou the MVP pro day it the same protcal.

Yes i know it is new X100 pad and original from Xtool. Clone meaning it added transponder coil like PS90. I'm in European region, so PS90 cannot be my next purchase?

I had the chance to test the PS90L. Unfortunately the new chrysler/dodge/jeep PIN read does not work. I think you still need to get the pin from the dealer only...even though it was suppose to have the bypass/function to read the newer pins.

The guy that bought it was told the ps90L was the USA version for newer chrysler pin system. Maybe he got the asian version instead of the american version who knows.

The rest of the cars it can program can be done by many tools on the market. Without the inclusion of the Chrysler/Fiat and Ford coded system, this tool sits at the same level as many other key programers on the market. These 2 premium features would put it in a higher tier with the big boys and add much more value. I'm not asking for BMW or Mercedes key programming, just something thats already found on tools within the same price range, example the SmartBox.

That the USA Region tablet I've been work with the engineer here in the USA. Gavin & Jimmy are there engineer ,we program and record the data communication going on there key programming. Later that night they examine the data and implement into the tablet. Next morning we test there update to the tablet, and they send the info to china. It's been almost 4 month and things are looking much better every day.

PS80/90 for now but AKS has there own private label "AUTO PRO PAD" coming out February 18. So my beta testing was done on the PS80/90 that data will be transferred to the auto pro pad.

Hardware is the same... software is different. American key supply (AKS) sign a contract for a private label (auto pro pad) I'm doing the work for the USA region. Are work will only be going onto AKS private label, it will not be given out.

Ck200 is a obsolete programmer, same goes for t300 and the m8. They all work fine with the oldies stuff, today we have new challenges here is my solution in one unit. For the US market

If you bought your ps80 or 90 threw AKS then you will be updated to USA version. USA version has a different firmware & Gui.

We use that platform (firmware) PS80/90 to do are beta testing for the USA version. AKS has sold it first 100 units with positive results. He has a contract with XTooltech to be the USA distributor. At that point Cary had a private label tablet built with new firmware (Auto Pro Pad). I'm waiting for my sample to be delivered. The point >>> Xtooltech is a good company offering good coverage with there tool. They have a new focus in the locksmith side of programming. These company main focus before was diagnostics.

Xtooltech is doing work for AKS fixing the coverage of the tool. They really do have engineer fixing commands, menu,and so on. That why there tablet will be selling in USA under AKS. These tool is not knock off they are developing more programs.

My sample is here & it's got my blessing. Production starts today and will start to ship out in 2 weeks. Just one guy covering the whole USA. Everyone was looking for solutions for the newest system Fusion , micro pod, fiat system. Now I have a team in china looking at all data login and program commands. Soon the USA version will be complete, then they move to the European version.

They have so many products that claim to do the same thing.
X-pad, x100 pad2 , x100 pad2 pro the list goes on and on.
They appear to make a product and then make another version of the same thing and add a bit on.
Sounds an awful lot like what OBDstar are doing (X100, X300, x300 dp PAD...)

Look at the AKS site this is a quote about the different tablets.

AKS were selling one tablet, then another and now both of them are outdated and they want you to buy the NEW-NEW one!

I always follow this information very carefully.
I am sorry that I haven't pushed "Thank you" each time. When some new info has come out.
I have the tool, and I have great believe in it. I think it is one of the most valued tools at the moment.
Comparing of what you are paying.
I know that the frequently updates is will be only better, when the developers get time to sort things out.
Working in the US and Europe.

The issue with hardware is a race that newer stop. It will always renew itself.
It is like Iphone. But what it can do is the important thing.
Old Iphone or new model Iphone. Both works! Gives you the same applications.
As long as it can update itself with the same software.
Is just a matter of choice. Fast new tool. Or an older version of the tool, but it does the same thing as the new one.

Nobody is questioning your integrity Ray Ray or asking you to finish your reports on the programmer but the points I raised are legitimate.
If they are going to do a firmware upgrade on their previous tablets free of charge then that's the right thing to do and I applaud it if it happens.

Another concern I have is that American cars get exported to many parts of the world.
What happens if your in Japan working on a 2016 Dodge but your tablet was bought from Japan?

You have already said that anything developed for the American market will only be available on US supplied tablets.
How would you react if anything that was developed on European cars was restricted to Euro purchased tablets?
"Sorry Americans, this particular VW software was developed by our European team so you can't have it..."

Also, if OBDstar is just copying all of the developments that are made by Xtool, would it not make sense to just buy the OBDstar tool
with all of the markets available at a cheaper price and wait for them to copy it?

I think they may have to re-evaluate this proposed region specific branding.

Ray Ray, I don't know if this little tidbit will help, but here goes. I did a laser key for the local Ford dealership for a 2015 Ford F150 crewcab, and they let me program when their mechanics are busy. I tried with the F100 tool but the only protocol I could get it to connect with was chinese Ford New Mondeo. It would not connect under the F150 American, or any other protocol on the menu. Once it connected on Mondeo, it worked fine, programmed first time. Maybe that will help someone, if not you.

From what I read in the thread. Seems like xtool is tweaking the tool to the US market. Once it's fully tweaked a firmware will be released that will cater just to the american market. That firmware will continue to be tweaked/updated by someone in the US. Once they get to that point....xtool will then focus on another region....europe is next from what Ray said.

Got my unit from AKS.. All unit is an over priced PS80. No eeprom adapters, no extra software... Don't know what I have to do to convert it to the Autopropad firmware. Their website mentions that the adapters will be mailed to me. I'll report back when I get correct firmware installed.

I'm also working on a calculator that will find key in dump and display it for you. At that point you could write the Keylogic to a chip to start the car or add your value to the calculator to add back to the dump.

I have programmed several hyundai/kia prox. The hazard light is not really required. Supposedly it wakes up the computer but I have never done it when using tcode. I did try the hazard light and steping on the gas pedal/open close doors. This also did not work. Get a fail to communicate after I put code.
Text Erick and he told me they are aware their is a problem with this system. So I asked why not remove it from the menu.... Answer... Because we might forget about working on it. So I suggest everyone contact tech support and verify a specific system will work before taking on job and driving there.

PS80 made the dash flicker and then the dash went very dim while it searched for password. Found it and then got an error.
With SB the dash stay fully lit throughout the whole procedure.

Pressed all keys lost and boom! Car was reset. Wow! Never used a machine that has done a reset that quick. Thumbs up!

I know we are all eager to see what's coming, and the best thing you can do now is give him good feedback instead of asking the age old question "Are we there yet?"

The problem is that they throw out promises with a date attached to them. Look for yourself on AKS. If they just gave a list of "upcoming" features then it's a different thing. So many of the features promised for release in December 2016 are not out yet four months later. If I bought something and was promised to "eventually" get a certain feature...I would not be asking over and over. I would just sit quietly and wait.

Was playing with Nissan/infiniti system and it's pretty bad. Not user friendly at all. You have to read bcm, write it down...go back to calculate....slow!!

They should take not from Obdstar. Just hit enter a couple of times and your done. 4 seconds or less.

Convert 20 pin?? Never seen any machine that does that. All programmers I have bypass the 20 pin completely. The 20 pin system is easier to program than the older systems.

Well, maybe I'm plain stupid, or we are looking at two different pieces of paper. It has Product Name, Serial Number Activation code, Date, and Inspector, which is filled in with a red QA. I'm talking about the dealer code that is used to register on the website.

Why do you need to register on website? I thought all registration was done on the tablet itself...Once registered on the tablet. It will connect to network and down all updates. That's what I did and it's working fine.

Well, I'm confused, I thought it was like OBD star x100 updates, not automatic. I was looking at page 7 of manual 2.2 under update. My machine works fine but I hit update and it takes me to XTool main website, where I am not registered apparently. You can download update tool on left side of home XTool page, but that is just a tool. I'm not sure the initialization process at the beginning has anything to do with updating but, I could be totally wrong.

Get rid of all the vehicles not from the US market out of the menu. I think that should be a priority.

Ford Five Hundred 2006, all keys lost, chose no delay option and keys programmed in without delay. Battery on car was low enough that it had to be jumped, so tool doesn't seem to be as sensitive to low voltage as some tools.

That because your tablet has its own battery ,to power itself up. So even if the obd2 is dead you can still program your keys.

Just Cars almost here. Hopefully they have something good to show as it's pretty disappointing of the features it does. Only good now is H quick reset which requires Hotspot. If you are in a parking garage with no signal... You are screwed.

There is no machine that pull the pin off the new Hyundai system. Online up 5 pin per day it's a one time pay service cost is $350.00. These service is not provide by Xtooltech.Once the new firmware is applied the"H" online will be offline. I been doing these long enough to know what you guys need and want. I've made a list of things I want to add to the tablet, that made the company slow production. They hire more engineers to help complete the first phase, that will be shown at "just cars".

Really? I did 3 chryslers today, a 16 dodge journey proxie, 15 chrysler 200 proxie, 14 jeep cherokee fobik and i was able to pull pin on all of them, i did a 16 elantra proxie, i think i had to go under a different vehicle but once it communicated, it worked. Just a little bummed that it cant pull the new/old pin even though it was advertised. I did a 07 cx-7, wouldn't work under mazda but did it under ford and erased all keys and just cycled the keys to get it programmed. Did a 17 expedition under flex i think and it worked with a 10 minute wait, i did a 15 edge proxie (the big bulky prox) worked flawlessly, got it done within a minute. Also did a 15 focus high security 80 bit, it had the 10 minute timer but i didnt feel like waiting so i grabbed the skp to do it in 2 minutes but im pretty positive it would have worked the ps80. Tomorrow im going to try and just use the ps80 and see what i have success with and what fails, but for the first day, it went pretty smooth

We do a lot of kias and hyubdais, next time i get one ill test it out and see if i have any luck with it and im not sure if youre aware but they have a chrysler menu and a usa chrysler menu

alright fellas, heres some of the ones i got done doing today, toyota g chip 15 yaris and 11 corolla, 13 nissan altima 20 digit pin bypass, 14 ford edge h92, 2 15 nissan sentra proxy, 16 kia sorento (programmed a flip key for it, i was having troubles with the tcode doing it but the ps80 did it first try under type 5), 14 honda accord g chip, 12 toyota prius proxy, and a 13 dodge dart with the smart key (not keyless go) i didnt see an option to pull the pin for the 13 dodge but i didnt try under another system since i already had the code since i was originating it, but other then that, the ps80 programmed it fine. I didnt even have to pull out the tcode today, everything worked with the ps80 flawlessly. Really liking the tool so far, if you guys have any problems or something, let me know and maybe ill run into one of your problem cars and i can help you guys out.

Auto mode told me it was Type2, Which is not correct. Kept giving me fail to communicate with anything I selected(Vin Change, Pcm Change). I manually selected CAN2 and it gave me a Pin. Tried to program and it said Pin was wrong.

Last time I had issues with Chrysler system, Erick told me to try out the "CAN backup system" I tried that today. Gave me a pin(different from earlier) and I selected to program key with it. Car Chimed and security light went out. Truck started right up.

most hyundai immo are inside engine ecu, i know you can make it virgin by diag and need pincode to match, pins need to put manually as far as i know

Virgin immo. Vin and (pin code 6digit) must be done by the tech. You can rewrite the vin. And pin code by putting it in neutral mode to do these you must create a 4digit pin code. These number can be made up, but must match when ask. Rewriting the new vin and pin code 6digit you must enter a 4 digit pin. My though are to write the pin 1234 in neutral mode then go into rewriting mode to view the vin and pin. That how to pull the pin.

nissan's are just a breeze with this tool, did a prox twist, ni04t's, programmed remote head keys, 20 digit bypasses, slot prox keys and they all work great, friday i did a 12 prius proxy i had to reset the immobilizer and add a second key to it. it worked great on the first try, also did a 14 dodge durango, i wasnt able to pull the pin but i ordered it and after i had the pin, it programmed no problem. I did a 2012 range rover evoque and worked first try also. Pulled the pin on a 14 dodge challenger and programed a new smart fobik keyless go key as well. Also did a 2014 ford fusion 128 bit keyed ignition, took about 3 minutes for it to bypass but the process went smoothly. I had a problem with a 2016 for explorer smart key, when i tried to program it, i think it said it wasnt supported yet but i tried under other cars with no luck, i had done a 17 ford expedition but it was a keyed model.

2014 Taurus Smart key Failed. "Communication failed" Menu shows 10 to 12 but I believe its the same system 10+.

I connected xtool x100 and it took care of it with no problems...funny as the machines are made by the same company.

It had the option listed, but I had already done pats 3 short cut on another vehicle, wanted to try 10 minute protocol. Besides, I use the 10 minutes to put tools away, write up bill, and up sell remotes and hand out business cards.:burnout:

2 15 smart cars, 13 kia optima slot prox key, 2 16 caravans pulled pin and programmed pod keys to them, 15 chrysler 200 pulled the 5 digit pin a programed a new prox key to it. all done with ps80

2004 Mustang, all keys lost, used 10 min. bypass, 2 keys no problem.
2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, all keys lost reset and program two keys, very quick.
2008 Nissan Titan, failed first time, don't know why, tried again and went smooth second time, programmed in three keys.

4/17 Toyota Prius new proxy system, tryied tcode under type6&7 with the hazard light on. Nothing would not communicate try few time but would not connect.
I hook up the xtool under proxy 3 I use these system a lot and never had these menu pop up. It ask me to go to the start button a push it and it communicated. 16 min reset with the start button on all the way threw registration. It all work perfect

If no smart keys available... Toy/lex required you press on brake pedal while system is connecting. That prius is prox 6 system(prox 3 in xtool) works great if you have Internet service.

Today I had a 2015 Dodge Ram Fobik. Customer had Pin already.

PS80, Auto mode fail. Can Backup, Fail...Go into manual and select 13+ Ram. Does not connect to vehicle. Fail to communicate, not even a pin read option

Connect obdstar X100 and it programs key with Pin customer provided.... Another win for a cheap programmer. hahaha

The number one thing about the PS80....

Ive programmed several hundred cars and have never had a customer compliment the programmer I'm using. Several customers have told me how expensive the PS80 looks. Now when I go to jobs that Im making good money, I take out the PS80 instead of my x100...Makes it seem like they are getting their moneys worth.

2012 Ford Focus, side-milled remote head key added, in about 3 (?) minutes. My biggest problem has been that it has been very rainy here the last 3 days, and I hate to take something so nice out of its case even inside the car when its raining, also lightning and such.

figured out way to update...

I kinda backed into it myself. You have to do the download arrows on upper left of screen, then sweep down menu on upper left and hit update. I updated everything at once, about 50 minutes... If there is anything else to do, I do not know what it is.

They had the final design at Just cars. Looks much better than the PS80 they are selling now. All corners are black and have a downward slope on the hard rubber corners. Makes tablet look slimmer. Also the rear has an elastic holder to slip in your hand and hold onto tablet.

I talked to Ray a couple weeks ago. He said that they were planning on a $900 annual update. First year is included with the tool. He also said that you can skip years, meaning that if you don't pay for your annual subscription, your tool will continue to work with the software that is currently on it, you just won't get any new information, updates, or support.

Some guy at just cars was saying unit resets Lexus Prox 7 system. Wasn't aware that it did that. I've done prox 6 only. Text Erik and he never responded to confirm this. Anyone else know if it does reset prox 7?

Proxy 4 is the same as proxy7 >>> just need to turn on the hazard and step on the brake.
